Being a wedding planner isn’t just about the big day, it is about everything that happens before....its about the journey. Being kind, giving back, and supporting charitable causes has always been a core part of who I am. It’s something I try to live by every day, and it’s one of the reasons I love wedding and event planning - being able to make a positive difference during some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives. I truly believe every act of kindness matters. Big or small, it all counts. And at Christmas - a season filled with love and joy, but also a time that can be difficult for many - kindness feels even more important. I was incredibly honoured to be part of a very special fundraising dinner for @globals_make_some_noise and @Classicfm , hosted by Aled Jones and Alexander Armstrong, raising money for some remarkable causes. Saturday 4th October 2025 saw the inaugural Quill & Hide Cup 🏆🪶 ⚽️ kick off between The Leathersellers ❤️ and our boys in blue and gold 💙💛 Upon arrival there were a few nervous faces as it became clear that our rivals played regularly, whilst this was the first time some of our team had even met! ⚽️ But after a warmup and pep talk from Captain Rob Wilding, they were ready to get cracking. Despite a couple of promising on-target shots, unfortunately the opposition sunk the first goal. But that didn’t deter us. It was on. 💪🏻 And what a comeback it was! The Leathersellers played superbly, but it wasn’t their day. The Stationers’ squad scored goal after goal, with particular mention going to John Saunders, who ended up with MOTM for his two stunners. 🏅 And so it ended on a brilliant 5-1 to us! 🙌🏻🥳🎉⚽️ Following some pitch-side celebrations, the merriment continued at the pub with raffles, prize-giving, and much camaraderie between the two sides, with a promise to meet again. 🍻 To our wonderful sponsors @geo.uk , @leemingbrothers and @theneverpress , thank you so much for making it possible. 🙏🏻 And of course, massive congratulations to all who played, you did a smashing job, and we couldn’t be prouder. 👏🏻 This was a hugely historic moment for our Company, with it being the first ever game in our 622 years!
