Did I forget anything? 😜 Hi! I wanted to welcome all the new followers + thank those who continue to follow my multi-tasking creative world. I’m Ceci, an artist, designer, entrepreneur, mom, wife and founder of @cecinewyork . I love my family, creativity, fashion, the food of the world, travel and experiencing new things. But most of all, I am passionate about beautifying your world through great design with my #TeamCeci.
I started my business out of my apartment in NYC all by myself with nothing but passion and a dream over 20 years ago. I studied graphic design and fine art in college and knew I loved designing and creating for others. I was designing invitations on the side for coworkers and friends when, before I knew it, my name was being passed around and people were suddenly reaching out to me directly. It was a reassuring feeling to know that people loved my work enough that they wanted me to design for their life’s biggest occasions. I knew it was what I was meant to be doing because the passion was there from the very beginning and still is to this day. So that must mean something! The demand was overwhelming in the best way possible. I kept hearing over and over again that people were really looking for the special design that I was creating. So I studied the industry and realized I truly did offer something that no one else had. A personal, exclusive couture design experience was what people were really looking for. So it gave me the courage to follow my dreams and start my business!

I started my business out of my tiny NYC apartment—no money, no investors, just a big dream and a whole lot of passion. I never imagined @cecinewyork would grow into what it is today.
It’s been a roller coaster—full of highs, challenges, growth, and grit. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’m endlessly grateful to my team, our amazing clients, this beautiful industry, and YOU—for believing in me, supporting us, and giving Team Ceci the chance to do what we love every day.

Wow! 22 years and I am still learning something new every day. Two more pieces of advice I think of daily:
1. Relationships will always outlast transactions. Invest in people, remember birthdays, send the note, show up.
2. Adapt now or be left behind. It is a hard reality, but the sooner you accept it, the better.

It is hard to believe we are celebrating 22 years of @cecinewyork !
I noticed a niche and decided to take a chance on myself. Intimidating? Yes. Confusing? Yes. Exhilarating? Absolutely.
I still get goosebumps. From my tiny studio apartment to our New York office, I’m so proud of how far we’ve come.
These last 22 years have turned me into even more of a perfectionist, brought me so many life lessons, and taught me to be a REALLY good multitasker.
I’m so thankful for every bit of support, every client, my amazing team, my supportive family and for every lesson along the way. I can’t wait for where the next year will take us!

Three generations of girls 💪 (swipe) Celebrated Mother’s Day early with my mom in town this weekend… I like to think I’m just as on top of things in life as I am in work (occasionally 😉).
