I remember in 2021, when myself and @keric.o conceived the idea of Until 23 and how we battled to do right by this story - in representation, performance, collaboration, and execution. I’m grateful that it paid off in this magnitude.
I’ve been an ardent follower of @afriff for the longest time, so imagine the double excitement in winning at this prestigious festival.
While I sat through the night, before I heard “Until 23” announced as the @myaccessbank Best Short Film, I had consistently heard the rhythm of my uncertain heartbeat and those tiny voices of affirmations, confusions and motivation.
This one is for God, and for everyone who’s believed and supported this girl. Who’s been with me, and who’s been for me. This is the first, not the last. I promise!

Award winning producer/ director/ writer, Chioma Paul-Dike, is set to begin filming ‘Oblation’, a supernatural horror feature expanding on her AFRIFF 2023 short film ‘Dreams’.
‘Oblation’ follows a young pregnant bride, Nelo played by Onyinye Odokoro plagued by terrifying dreams in which a mysterious woman screams at her to leave the new home she just settled into with her husband.
Beyond being an African horror story, Chioma is exploring themes of love, betrayal and redemption in an ever before told way.
Other cast members include Chioma Chukwuka, Kelechi Udegbe ,Amanda Oruh, Bucci Franklin and Ruby Akubueze.
