2024 knitting projects! Daniel’s sweater was a journey from April through November but he looks so good wearing it! 😚 Then Taylor showed me the Sophie scarf pattern and I promptly made two (plus a mini one) in December. Knitting this year was a big stress reliever, highly recommend 🫂
Batch 2 necklaces (and earrings) are here! I’ve been working on these on and off for the past year, and I’m so happy to finally share them. A few people asked if I could do some more tonal colorways, which was an inspiring challenge. Kind of loving how they turned out! Only 8 necklaces and 2 pairs of earrings this time. Excited to see which homes they go to ☺️ link in Bio
Another project that we worked on quite a while ago and just now posting, but this was a good one! We channeled all things 90s/Y2K to create the show logo and titles for Girls5Eva, currently on its 3rd season!
We worked with our clients Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond, and David Miner on this and I’m so grateful to have worked with such a wonderful team. @pentagramdesign@shira_no_filter@jasehueser@zchrissos plus a thank you to @ancillarypost for the post production 💗
Lil necklaces are live! These are all completely one of a kind and I only have 10. I’ve really enjoyed making these over the course of the summer. If you want one, see the link in my bio :-)
Last weekend at the @filmindependent #spiritawards in-person once again! Hard to decide between watching the awards via Zoom or like this. This is now my 6th year helping with the design of the show, with @emilyoberman & team at @pentagramdesign 🥰 Feeling very lucky.
Feeling extremely thankful and excited to have worked on the opening title sequence for Saturday Night Live's 46th season at @pentagramdesign with @emilyoberman , @jasehueser , @thelastvarner , and @zchrissos ! We worked with SNL's iconic photographer @maryellenmatthewsnyc , @paulbriganti , and incredible editor @madeinsudan . We also had the pleasure of collaborating with @danielzender on parts of the handwriting and @keatsotic on parts of the animation. A truly fantastic team to be a part of.
SNL has always been a reflection of the times we live in, and as we move through this pandemic, the title sequence needed to properly recognize the extraordinary circumstances we are currently in, and the positive efforts we are all making to slowly return to a version of our lives pre-covid. In this way, we wanted to create a montage that felt human, warm, and a little bit nostalgic as we witness the cast members head back to 30 Rock for the first time since March and the excitement and nerves of finally being together once again.
We were inspired by the title sequences of 1970s SNL, using slow dissolves of stills and classic portraiture, along with a hand painted logo treatment reminiscent of Edie Baskin's work on the show, and vibrant, imperfect handwriting to add punch.
This season's title sequence might not feel like the high-energy party atmosphere of seasons past, but we hope that it feels appropriate and relatable for this moment we are all in now.
My 4th year helping with the Film Independent Spirit Awards at @pentagramdesign , and feeling extra thankful. Here’s some highlights from our time on the beach in the middle of the day :-)
