Had a lot of fun testing out the Lynx Aurora N + AMS Neve Starnet ADA24. Other than writing a good song.. The AD, DA are (in my opinion) THE most important part of my studio setup. Everything sounds different; from mic pre choices, phase relationship + ultimately the decisions you make when listening back to your mix or master. I’ve done a long winded video, which you can watch on YouTube. It should always be your opinion obviously, but if I can help anyone get there with some silly descriptive words - happy days!! 🥹🤩

Fastest drum head changes ever.. I got chatting about this little beast with @evansdrumheads at the uk drum show 🥁 and it’s literally the fastest thing ever, it’s not rocket science 🧪 so I can’t believe I’ve not seen this anywhere before. I did the full “rough tune up” thing to finish the process, but honestly just the head swap is the thing!! It’s arrows up for loosen off ⬆️, arrows down for tighten ⬇️ + a static key head for manually adjusting after 🔧. I know a bunch of drum techs who’d save a bunch of time with this 👀

I can’t remember if I ever posted about this? 😅 But I did a demo song for the film “Farming”, a wonderfully intense + dark piece by Lionsgate & Amazon (UK) studios a little while ago now, which turned into the full song “Time” on my new album, ‘And Restart’. I’m so glad I was able to turn it into a full song & thanks to Ben for pushing me into doing this kind of thing! My dad got some of @davelombardo ’s new coffee beans for the studio! Imported over from the states (which the UK government had a good sniff of 🤣🫘). They taste lovely!!! 🔥 and I’ll never forget how incredibly polite Dave was, when I think about 3 days into rehearsals here, he got his first espresso ☕️😅 A wonderful experience with @esb666_ go get yourself some beans immediately 🥹🙋🤎
