Grumble Bee full band Live at Lapwing session is now on YouTube (8 tracks). I’ve wanted to do this for ages, as I grew up watching all those live sessions of bands I loved. After chatting with loads of artists / bands - it’s mad how much money people are losing.. ALL THE TIME. Touring is literally a case of visiting brilliant people in wonderful places over the years + arranging for family to look after the animals while I’m away. Finding that balance is proper hard!! So I’m grateful to be able to head to EU/UK for a couple weeks with Grey Daze (from tomorrow) playing some electric (heavy/oversinging) shows on my own!😬

I recorded, mixed & mastered this specifically for playback on a phone, TV, laptop etc. Streaming services are mostly, woeful at paying artists for music, but a visual element has always helped me get the vibe anyway - so let me know if you’re into it. 🫶 I’d also love to open this up to bands / artists who might want to do a ‘Live at Lapwing’ down the line at any level if it helps you pitch for a tour / an agent or label etc! So just give me a shout 📧

(Swipe ➡️) 15 years ago, I played my first gig on acoustic guitar, one was an original & another was a cover (Machines) by @biffy_clyro . This week I’ve been busy in the studio with Simon, Mike, Dave & Naomi, hosting their musical venture in @esb666_ …although I entirely lost my mind synth 🎹 mapping… we got there in the end. @adamwnoble killed it on the soundscapes & now they’re off to 3 shows to start their journey this weekend & it’s going to be unreal 😅 what a wonderfully creative, family of humans ♥️ ..studio pics/videos (hopefully) To follow! 🔥
A little while back @marktrotter and I, went to the @marshallamps factory & studio, to test some of their JCM800 studio series heads (SC20H) paired with some of their vertical 2x12 cabs. You can watch the video of us improvising stuff, in their live room on YouTube or in stories now. Finally got a chance to play this new @fender jazzmaster ultra as well, and it’s the best 🤩
