// This last week has been an absolute whirlwind of feelings.
// I forgot all the different ways that tour can go sideways… laryngitis, cancelled flights, equipment failure, people needing to pull out of things last minute, things I ran out of time to plan for or anticipate.
// After a physically and emotionally difficult Brisbane show, I broke down, sobbing in the arms of my friends and family - feeling like I’d been defeated by the moment. As I had sang - my voice deteriorating from pushing through the two nights prior - my mind was awash with flashbacks; good, bad, ugly and beautiful. I felt incredibly fragile and exposed. I had promised myself I’d take time to soak in the moment as the finality of this tour sank in, but it all hit me like a freight train over the course of a few songs as the set drew to a close. Every heartbreak and hope I had built up over the years just came flooding back. I quietly retreated from the stage as the last echoes of “A Definition of Not Leaving” faded and let the tears come as I was enveloped by my friends and family.
// But there was some kind of beautiful, vulnerable peace in that moment of letting go. Whatever I did or didn’t have left to give - I could only give all of it. I owed you all that much. That’s all I’ve ever done - on stage, on paper, on record. Just pour out whatever of myself I have to give, and give 100% of it.
// There is so much still to reflect on, decompress, acknowledge and share over the coming days and weeks. I am immensely grateful for the team supporting me on this run. I’m immensely grateful for every single person - friend, family or fan - who came out to support this project. I am immensely grateful for everyone who could only be there in spirit.
// But for now, it’s time to reset, reflect and regather. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart and soul, thank you for supporting this chapter of my life. I look forward to what lies beyond.

// Over two years of reflection, rediscovery and painstaking care to remake the album that started it all… this is a heartfelt, note for note remake from the ground up. Every sound, every nuance, every moment - nothing recycled. Everything recreated.
// It’s been an absolute joy - amidst the grind - to revisit this album in so much depth. I dug up tabs from ancient laptops. I ploughed through hundreds of plugins, presets and memories. I loaded pre-studio demos from my iPod classic to listen without the veil of “studio magic”. I scoured email threads a decade old… all to try and faithfully honour every sound and sentiment that went into this record.
// I should recognise that this was never MY record. As much as my former bandmates may have moved on from me and this album, they are still woven through it in its entirety. I can only honour that - and I’ve tried to; in the nuance of their playing styles on the original record and countless hours we each spent in crafting it - as a bunch of kids with a dream to chase.
// To that end - I also have to acknowledge my team.
// @bahadorborhani was immaculate in taking on my endless notes and guidance in how these songs needed to be played, not to mention the endless journey of preparing the art, the canvases, the videos - he is a creative machine and it’s been a privilege working with him.

A week later and I’m still taking it all in.
It was an honour to get to play my favourite songs with my good friend @trentontws , alongside one of the best dudes and solid drummers I’ve met @mattgibsondrums .
And none of this would’ve been possible without the brains behind the scenes @roadiejimjim holding down sound tech, tour managing and guitar tech duties. Seriously impressed by how much each of these individuals can provide to the team.
