@thecarpentersruin opens for reals this afternoon in St Kilda. A mini pub with insane food, heaps of tap beers and wine and cocktails and a 10+ hour playlist of yacht rock and dad jams. Get it while it’s hot.
This peacock was the most friendly and chill I’ve ever come across until someone drove up in a Range Rover and he kicked into annoyed defensive mode. I hear ya peacock, I hear ya.

Remember when Tooheys New used to be called Tooheys Blue? That was a thing right? Well, I don’t know, something about Tuis Blue. There’s something there.
Kererū are so vital to the Aotearoa ecosystem as they are the only fruit-eating bird big enough to swallow large fruit and then spread the seeds accordingly. They also look like that big intimidating unit in a white Bonds singlet who turns out to be the sweetest person you’ve ever met.
This is an apt representation of the country as well, as NZ folks are by and large, in my experience, total sweethearts. Man, I miss that place.
