today is our 8th anniversary - for all the years we spent engaged, as life and travels kept us waiting for the right moment to celebrate our past, present and future with our closest family and friends, it has felt like so many lifetimes - and so few - all at once, between then, now and always.
even between the joys, the stresses, the scattered cars, lego, magnet tiles and baby clothes, the pivots, the projects, the things that feel constant and the things that feel too few and far betweenā¦ you are my anchor, my haven and my heart.

How lucky I am to do life with my best friend š¤ and how lucky are our two perfect boys to have you as their dad. Officially married for longer than weāve known each other, but all together 16 whole years of the greatest, deepest love.

The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind preparing for all the different ways this little dude might join us - but incredibly happy to say the day finally arrived, all ultimately went off without a hitch and both Sawyer and Kate are happy, healthy and almost ready to come home ā¤ļø
We named him for the hope he might become a crafter, grounded and given purpose by his natural surroundings, shaping the world he inhabits through active curiosity and connected independence. So far - heās been a beautifully quiet and gentle baby but wholly aware of how easily that may shift in the coming days, weeks and years š
His big brother Wren has been incredibly sweet and tender with his baby brother - and we canāt wait to watch them grow up togetherā¦ mischief, magic and all.
Wren šŖ¶ our darling boy is four!! While I can hardly believe it, I also cannot remember life without him. He is charming, imaginative, funny, kind, clever, always up for a chat and always has a story to tell (iykyk!!) These last 12 months have been beyond wonderful, and what an adventure we have in store for the next year in the Woodley family!
Weāve had a beautiful, busy, birthday week. Weāve had family visiting from afar, so many lollies and delicious cake, adventures with new toys/presents and so much laughter and joy. But a true highlight was getting him to see his dad perform on stage and hearing the crowd sing happy birthday to him.
He barely made it beyond this moment before asking for a chair to sleep in š¤£ (see receipts)
I want to share so much more from this past year, and even just the last week but for now itās time to make dinner and deal with the mood when he finds out he canāt have lollies, cake or mango for dinner š¤£

Every cliche about time going too fast is categorically true. The last few months have been so hectic and I know Iāve said goodbye for the day more than Iāve said good morning - but Iām excited for all the bike rides, beach trips, train tracks, cake bakes, trampoline bounces and tackle cuddles we can fit in after tour ā¤ļø

I would love to do a 2023 wrap up videoā¦. But the reality is Iām so obsessed with this kid and being his mum I have filled the whole reel with just December alone š this years been good to us, I canāt wait to see what 2024 will bring x
