We recently joined CalVolunteers (@californiavolunteers ) and the Los Angeles Office of Community Beautification (@lacityocb ) at Eaton Canyon in Altadena to announce that the California Service Corps will hire 3,000 individuals to support recovery efforts across the greater Los Angeles area following the January 2025 wildfires.
Since the early days following the fires, our crews have been consistently hard at work in Eaton Canyon, restoring trails, rebuilding habitat lost and helping the community in the aftermath of the Eaton Fire. We’re proud to be part of the ongoing effort to support recovery and restoration!

We’re proud to welcome our newest Chrysalis crews! Yesterday, this combined team of eight Chrysalis clients started working transitional jobs with us. As they admired their work at the end of the day, they knew that they are a part of transforming our city.
Our new crew is here thanks to @lacityocb and @lacitysan . Chrysalis is grateful to join these departments and the City of Los Angeles as a part of strike teams focused on street cleaning and illegal dumping.
Later this month, the group will become two crews and focus on serving City of Los Angeles Council District 1 and 9.
Check out the incredible work our Chrysalis crew completed in Council District 1! On Friday, the team refreshed the area near Beacon St. & James M. Wood Blvd., helping create a cleaner, more welcoming space for the community.
Thanks to our partners @lacityoc , @lacitysan , @lacitydpw , and @cd1losangeles for supporting the City’s efforts to keep neighborhoods clean and address illegal dumping. Together, we’re building stronger, cleaner communities.
🎉Congratulations to our River Rangers who graduated at City Hall last Friday!
Over the past year, these Corpsmembers worked in partnership with the LA Office of Community Beautification (@lacityOCB ) to protect public spaces along the Los Angeles River, preserve native flora and fauna, and prevent trash from reaching the ocean.
While enrolled in the program, they learned about the history of the river and the native animals and vegetation that call it home, becoming dedicated stewards of this vital ecosystem.
Congratulations to our River Ranger graduates!
The River Rangers program is a state-funded effort supported by the #CaliforniansForAll grant. Thank you, @californiavolunteers !

Yesterday, we celebrated an important milestone. 🎓
Four Chrysalis clients graduated from the CleanLA program, marking the completion of a year of paid employment, skill-building, and consistent work experience.
Please join us in congratulating our four graduates.
CleanLA is a 12-month, full-time employment program that provides young adults with wages, benefits, and hands-on experience supporting community beautification efforts across Los Angeles. Through this program, participants build skills, confidence, and pathways to long-term employment, including opportunities with the City of Los Angeles.
Our CleanLA team is currently working in the MacArthur Park area, contributing to cleaner, safer public spaces.
We’re proud to celebrate our graduates and grateful for our partners at @lacityocb and @lacitydpw for helping make this program possible. #Chrysalis #CleanLA #WorkforceDevelopment #PathwaysToEmployment
