Zeitgeist Mix 07: kuini2000 (they/them) Mental Techno | Hardgroove kuini2000, or, to friends and family, just Kuin, is a Copenhagen and Berlin-based DJ, playing hard-hitting and dynamic hardgroove and trance with a flair for elegance. they’re a co-founder, organiser and resident of the cult queer event-series @assmrcph in Copenhagen. In episode 7 of the Zeitgeist Mix Series, kuini2000 serves us a juggernaut of techno. Dynamic and ever-evolving, lose yourselves in the graceful but pumping rythms as Kuin puts you under their spell, and takes you along for the ride.

Back in 2024 I had the pleasure of shooting a beautiful group of people for the “Confession” issue of Bedtime Magazine. A queer/fminist prn magazine that was run by @mette_munk and @polinaaaaaah The series (called “The Wet Moment”) made it to the front and back cover but for several reasons we chose not to make these images appear online. However @kuini2000 has given consent to show a small selection from our session. Thank you again to @bedtimemagazine for this opportunity. MSL (they/them), born and raised in post-soviet Lithuania, grew up surrounded by rules, norms, and life instructions no one asked for. Electronic music was always the escape hatch - a doorway into freedom and rebellion. Now Copenhagen-based, they channel that liberation behind the decks with uplifting, tribal, percussive-rich techno and sprinkles of mischievous, cheek-tickling vocals. A transhumanist-yet-primal energy built to make dancers melt and misbehave.
