This community event is free to attend, but encourages donations to align with the efforts of ICE OUT and related initiatives opposing anti-immigrant rhetoric and action. In doing so, our aim is to foster support for overseas diaspora, making the statement that cultural observances – whether official or not – matter, and so does what happens to diaspora communities everywhere. Donations will be directed to @iwspace.de , a Berlin-based feminist and anti-racist collective made up of migrant, refugee, and non-migrant women. The group focuses on supporting refugee women and advocating around issues like asylum rights, deportation, and social isolation. See you @refugeworldwide.space !

Between Christmas and New Year’s, you filled the Torhaus with energy, curiosity, and passion 🌟. Even with the heater taking a break, we cooked, shared, and feasted together—proving once again that Küfa is more than just a meal. Big shoutout to Krete Klang for turning our feast into a party for the ears too 🎶. Thanks for staying, sharing, and bringing the space to life! DE: Zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr habt ihr das Torhaus mit Energie, Neugier und Leidenschaft gefüllt 🌟. Auch wenn die Heizung kurz Pause machte, haben wir zusammen gekocht, gegessen und gefeiert – Küfa ist eben mehr als nur ein Essen. The year is almost coming to an end, but we still have one more gem for you. Indonesian music collective @kretekklang will turn up the volume in the radio studio while we turn up the heat on our cooking plates. Join our last Küfa of 2025 for a festive feast between Christmas and New Year’s — cooking, listening, and celebrating together. As always, this Küfa is a fundraiser. This time, we’re collecting donations for people affected by floods in Indonesia. This event is funded by Deutsche Postcode Lotterie. DE Das Jahr neigt sich dem Ende zu, aber wir haben noch ein echtes Highlight für euch. Das indonesische Musik-Kollektiv @kretekklang bringt die Mischpulte zum glühen während wir die Herdplatten aufdrehen. Kommt zu unserer letzten Küfa 2025 und überbrückt mit uns die Zeit zwischen Weihnachtsfeiertagen und Silvester — mit gutem Essen, Musik und Gemeinschaft. Wie immer ist die Küfa eine Soli-Veranstaltung. Dieses Mal sammeln wir Spenden für Menschen, die von Überschwemmungen in Indonesien betroffen sind. Gefördert von der Deutschen Postcode Lotterie.

Hey beautiful souls, As you might have seen in the internet our home country Indonesia was hit by massive and devastating flash floods that destroyed so many homes and communities in 3 different provinces. Following this, @jermanbergerak , @kretekklang , @pasar.ngondek , & @nusaqueer_diaspora are congregating to set up a fundraiser for people affected by floods & landslides in Sumatra Sunday, december 14th 2025 Door opens from 15.00 • screening starts at 16.00 onwards Screened will be: (1) Our Mother‘s Land. A documentary about indonesian women facing state violence for fighting back against corporations seeking to control the resources of their land. (2) Sore Kelabu di Selatan Singkarak. An old mining site around Lake Singkarak has been abandoned since 2018, yet there has been no conservation effort—and the locals are paying the price. We will also connect with other SEAblings who are affected by the Cyclone Senyar and reflect on how our struggles are intertwined. Bubur ayam Indonesian style will be served (vegan version available!) and some yummy home baked goods are available. There will be some zines, stickers, and postcards from Indonesian & diaspora artists available for purchase too. All profits and donations go to the victims of floods and landslides in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Sometimes things just fall into place.. We’ve been building this project for a while, dreaming, planning, shaping it. Traveling through Asia, doing research during our tour. Then we finally have our first event, while already planning compilation. On a random night we run into @impulsivebehaviour_ . We already knew each other online, but this time we really talked, asked him for a track, when he casually mentions he works for Mixmag and that he loves what we’re doing with this project. The launch party was more than we could’ve wished for and just a few days later after sharing our story in an interview, we’re now featured in @mixmagde and @mixmagnl , in both German and English. It honestly feels like the universe telling us we’re on the right path. We couldn’t be more grateful or more excited for what’s coming next. Read the article and find out what BUTO BAYANG is about. Not for a Thursday, but despite being a Thursday, our first BUTO BAYANG turned out to be more than we expected.
