Cho. The exhibition features 12 artists connected to the Lower East Side Printshop Community Studio, through membership or the Keyholder Artist Residency. The artists in this show contend with personal, familial, cultural, structural, or philosophical narratives that foments potentiality to explore the edges of boundaries and begin anew.

We are continuing our countdown by highlighting the panel of Multispecies Ecologies Across Landscape, City, and Imagination. This session explores how multispecies ecologies unfold across landscapes, cities, and speculative imaginaries, tracing entanglements between human and more-than-human worlds. Moderated by Oliver Kellhammer (Parsons), the panel brings together four perspectives: Juana Salcedo (University of Texas at Austin) on weaving multispecies landscapes across the Americas through a jaguar lens; Esra Sert (The New School & MEF University) on Istanbul’s urban metabolism as multispecies entanglement; Ian MacPherson (Parsons) on applying sentirpensar to generate humane and more-than-human futures; and Leekyung Kang (Parsons) on constructing speculative creatures through a contemporary Wunderkammer. Together, these talks consider ecology not as a fixed condition, but as a layered and relational field shaped by movement, imagination, and lived environments. Thank you so much for coming last Friday night, and the show is up until 6/29 so you still have sometime to check this out 😆 A Map of Invisible Dimensions - Nut’s, 72x72in, mixed media on canvas, 2025 At the heart of my work lies a fundamental inquiry into humanity’s evolving relationship with the unknown. I trace the metamorphosis of spiritual iconography across visual languages throughout ancient history, asking essential questions: How have our belief systems transformed from primordial shamanism, totemism, and animism into contemporary understanding? How has our species‘ insatiable curiosity about invisible realms developed through millennia of cultural exchange, cosmological discovery, and sacred ceremony? Drawing profound inspiration from ancient tomb and chamber murals—those sacred spaces architecturally defined as chambers between worlds—I visualize threshold territories that exist between the realms above and below. These liminal spaces become the conceptual foundation for works that traverse death and rebirth, examining the cyclical nature of existence through both scientific and spiritual lenses. #painting#bronxmuseum#aim#biennial

A map of interground, 42x60in, mixed media on canvas, 2025 Greek mythologies, Egyptian history, Biblical story-telling, and history of word of mouth in ancient Asian references are interrelated to one another to articulate my creative diagram. I've continuously questioned how cultural identifiers both illuminate and constrain my specific artistic vision, and I believe this residency will provide the tension which creates my exploration of ancient cosmologies and spiritual iconography. A map of invisible world - Nut’s, 72x72in, 181.3x181.3cm, acrylic on canvas, 2025 🗺️The Map of Invisible Dimensions fuses Egyptian goddess Nut’s cosmology with dark matter theory. Nut, the sky goddess representing celestial dome and soul journeys through death and rebirth, intersects with dark matter—the invisible substance comprising 85% of our universe yet undetectable through direct observation.🪐 This conceptual marriage transforms the painting into cartographic documents of unseen realms, where ancient spiritual wisdom meets quantum mechanical mysteries. The “invisible dimensions” become tangible through paint and mark-making, making the quesions. The work proposes that Egyptian mythological frameworks and contemporary scientific theories are parallel attempts to map the unmappable—giving form to formless mysteries surrounding existence. 🧑‍🚀⚡️🌪️ 🗺️ 이집트 여신 누트(Nut)의 우주론과 암흑물질 이론을 결합한 작업이다. 하늘의 여신이자 죽음과 환생을 통한 영혼의 여정을 상징하는 누트는, 우주의 85%를 차지하면서도 직접적으로는 관측할 수 없는 '보이지 않는 물질', 즉 암흑물질과 교차한다. 이 개념적 결합은 작가의 회화를 보이지 않는 세계의 지도로 전환시킨다. 고대의 역사적 레퍼런스와 아직 밝혀지지 않은 우주에 대한 질문이 만나는 이 작업에서, "보이지 않는 차원들"은 회화와 마크 메이킹을 통해 구체화되며, 볼 수 없던 것이 시각화된다. 이 작품은 이집트 신화의 구조와 현대 과학 이론이 실체 없는 존재를 시각화 하는 시도 이고, 형상이 없는 미스터리에 형태를 부여하려는 시도이자 존재의 본질을 탐색하는 새로운 지도 제작 방식이다. #newwork#2025summer#mystery#mythtoscience
