This 14 week class takes place at NYU’s ITP program and involves learning Unity game development, alternative controller design, and cabinet fabrication using 3D modeling and CNC fabrication! Thanks to @stefxcohen for this amazing opportunity to build an arcade cabinet for @snakesandrews and @a24 for The Smashing Machine! The opening was incredible featuring 20+ fighting games on Astro City cabs. There was also a wrestling ring and memorabilia for Mark Kerr and the film. If you’re going to @magfest be sure to check out Rock Paper Secrets in @magindiearcade by @insta.gramfors ! I spent the last month scratching my mechanical engineering itch to help figure out how to open a set of miniature curtains with laser cut gears and stepper motors. In this VS game you assign “troops” of rocks, paper, or scissors into specific lanes and when the curtains open they charge forward into the opponents’ armies! Kind of like Auto Battleship. I’ll be at @magfest Fri-Sun, can’t wait to check out all of the games!
