Come celebrate PARTICLE MACE’s 10th birthday, and Andy’s 36th!
—
PARTICLE MACE is one of the first arcade cabinets in the Arcade Commons collection, built by
@andy_makes .
This arcade game was put into a cabinet in 2014 at Death By Audio and since then has been showcased at MAGFest, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Maker Faire NYC, Silent Barn, Superchief Gallery, Babycastles, Elsewhere, Caveat, and countless other venues. It’s been ripped apart in the middle of a mosh pit, it’s fallen down a flight of stairs, and pieces of the cabinet have fallen off on the streets of Bushwick, but it refuses to die! Arcade Commons gave the game a brand new facelift just in time for this celebration, and we’ll also have some of Andy’s other games and alt-ctrl projects on site for the occasion. There will even be a rare appearance of VECTOR MACE, the version of PARTICLE MACE that runs on a hacked Vertex display.
Thursday December 5th at
@nitehawkcinema ’s Trees Lounge (2nd floor), starting at 7pm.
@kleebatron will be spinning video game vinyl records. Come party with us!
