“For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting the remarkable rise of the EDM scene in Lagos, Nigeria. Witnessing the growth from a niche community to a thriving industry has been truly iconic. The recent feature by @mixmag is a testament to the scene’s maturity and its readiness for global recognition. As the EDM ecosystem continues to evolve, it’s clear that intentional collaborations and behind-the-scenes efforts are crucial for its continued success. The more mainstream media and artists embrace electronic music, the more vibrant the underground scene becomes. As a documenter and photographer, I’m committed to playing my part in pushing the culture forward. Through my lens and my work with @mainlandhouse and @afrotechng , I aim to showcase the energy and creativity of the Lagos EDM scene.
