Take away the object. Notice what remains.
Playing this observation game in a social setting is extremely refreshing. Iāve noticed hands landing in so many interesting shapes, might just make a part two!
Life unfolding between blinks š¢

____imagine youāre in a water colour painting, alive and moving. what happens to the lines and shapes that define you, where does your hand end and the space begin?
With water and paint as our elements of research, weāll explore how these sensations and patterns translate into the body through guided movement.
What unfolds when you observe and embody two mediums interacting into one another, expanding beyond structure and form.
This space is open for all humans looking to reconnect with their body, slow down and experience a centred state of being. Whether youāve moved before or not, every body has its own language, come find yours :)
See you in the present continuous š«§

The workshop is happening alongside a beautiful art exhibit by Pushpa Kumari
Itās been over a year that Iāve been practising morning pages through movement and I canāt imagine starting my mornings any other way. Itās almost like clearing out storage and making space in the body for a new day
Morning Pages is a practice from The Artistās Way where you write three unfiltered pages first thing in the morning. Itās a simple ābrain drainā to clear mental clutter and make space for creativity.
I love the idea behind this and I apply the same intention and guidelines to my movement practice with some tweaks
šŖfirst thing in the morning
ā²ļøstream of consciousness - move without stopping, overthinking, judging, editing your flow
šļøfor your eyes only - no mirrors/cameras (except for this video ofc)
š«§ three pages - for me that becomes 5 mins of movement
Most days I do this without music, so thereās no external influence. No beats to follow, just the body moving raw and unfiltered.
morning movement isnāt a replacement for morning pages, just the same practice through a different medium.
Itās a really simple practice of letting the body talk first and learning how to listen. Something deeply liberating about abstract expression cuz I do believe that words cannot hold the magnitude of the human experience.
if this resonates, hope you give your body 5 minutes of your timešš

The definition and understanding of the word practice keeps expanding as I go deeper into this world of movement. One thing that stands at the centre of it is that - staying present in the now is a practice of repetition.
a state of repeated beingness.
not something we arrive at once, but something we return to, again and again.
what repeats does not circle back,
it travels forward.
each return holding a new experience
cycles of arrival and disappearance
in your body and the space that holds it
reconnecting with and discovering the
vastness of the vessel we spend every waking moment in
see you in the present continuous āąæā
