Our workshops bring “Talk To Your Mom” @talktomompod conversations into real life. In classrooms, living rooms, and community spaces, participants practice breaking silence together and learn tools for healthier communication. Transparency ✨ We talk about the things families often avoid, and we show that those conversations can lead to healing. That is what “Talk To Your Mom” is all about. Skills ✨ Participants walk away with practical tools for healthy communication and a deeper understanding of their family history. Bonds ✨ Workshops strengthen both individual participants and the communities they belong to. Let’s work together in 2026! Partners reach out to [email protected] and let’s build! ❤️ #talktomompod #mom #healingmotherwound #healingfamily

🗣️ Pack out the trunk from the front to the back, uh 💪🏿 In my latest for @elleusa I explored Black art as a visual main character in Spike Lee’s latest Denzel Washington @denzelwashington.official and @asaprocky led joint, “Highest 2 Lowest.” Shout out to @officialspikelee for his comments and @kendallhurns of @artehausstudios for lending his insights on what it’s like to build and scale a Black art studio from the ground up. The Production designer of @highest2lowest , Mark Friedberg (Emmy-winner and set design for “Joker”) weighed in on why his creative process for film world-building begins by roaming museum halls. And as always one of my fav editors is you, Erica! @ericagonzo Catch @highest2lowest streaming on @appletv now @a24 Did y’all notice the art in the film?? Let’s chat in the comments 👇🏿 #spikelee #spikeleejoint #denzelwashington #asaprocky #highest2lowest #blackart #writerthreads #blackpressmatters #artist Link in bio.

6 years after I started @talktomompod with my sister and producer @ambercsmith_ and my mama @tarawoner , I had the opportunity to speak to arguably one of the GREATEST matriarchs of this generation @mstinaknowles . Like my mama @tarawoner , Mama Tina was tasked to raise free Black girls in a world that relishes off of our captivity. Women like Mama Tina remind me we are the authors of our own destiny, and we don’t need anyone’s permission to shine with the full brilliance the Lord gave us. Thank you mama Tina for your daughters and their art. I am a destiny’s child because of the way you watered your own roses! A blessing for generations! Full interview coming with HelloBeautiful soon! Special thanks to @ancestry and @yvettenoelschure 💗💗💗 #matriarch #mamatina #talktomompod #beyoncé #cowboycarter

It’s still#NationalPoetryMonth and we are still celebrating the art and necessity of the craft. Here’s a clip from the conversation I had with @BET ’s @thedanielleyoung about how poetry helps me, and others, process the violence that has been inflicted upon us by systems and community. Words help us process memory and poetry is a part of the alchemy of turning darkness into light. Poetry has always been and will always be the medicine. Check out the full conversation now on YouTube via the link in my bio and read the “Still We Write” feature now on BET.com #blackpoets #poetry #writersofinstagram #poetrycommunity

Join me and @liz.amal this upcoming WEDNESDAY at 8pEST/5pPST for a special edition of “Keyaira’s Poetry Corner” featuring poems from Elizabeth’s recently released first book, “A Yearner’s Soliloquy.” We will share selections from each of our bodies of work and discuss how to carry longing with grace (or chaos lol): for people, for places, or for who we are meant to be. Tap in via IG live next week. It’s the perfect way to close out #NationalPoetryMonth ☕️❤️✊🏿 #blackpoets #poetrylive #blackwriters

My heart is full 🥹 It is an honor to be recognized and featured by @bet during #NationalPoetsMonth in their “Still We Write” series, highlighting the words and work of poets like myself and other contemporary scribes preserving the HUMAN in the art of writing. This moment also marks the release ‼️ of my poetry/art collaboration with fine artist Rachel Ellis & her Coffee Cove (@coffeecoveart ) gallery, (follow now!) which blends my coffee-themed haikus with her art which is LITERALLY MADE from different roasts of coffee on canvas (available now on Etsy via link in bio). Thank you @thedanielleyoung for seeing me, and most importantly, for seeing US, as I stand alongside fellow featured “Still We Write” GIANTS I admire deeply like Tongo Eisen-Martin (@_tongogara_ ), aja monet (@ajamonet ), Jaha Zainabu (@jaha0903 ), Moor Mother (moormother), Dr. Mahogany L. Browne (@mobrowne ), and Karisma Price (@2muchKarisma ). Thank you to everyone who still believes in the radical power of poetry. Read the article and purchase the art via link in bio. We still here ✊🏿🖤 #BET #NationalPoetryMonth #blackpoets
