In dialogue with Mary-Ann Monforton’s “Heart Land” poets Zan de Parry and Matthew Hodges, alongside LA-based writer Mason McClay (and Austin’s August Smith) present a mixed-media performance featuring poetry, analog and digital sound, field recording and projection, inspired by the worlds and outer-worlds the artist’s works celebrate. The program highlights art’s use of humour and irreverence as a critical strategy for revealing and reflecting on the absurdities of contemporary life.
