Our tour of Kansas City’s Film Row gets 5 stars for a peek behind the scenes of three Crossroads design firms that occupy what were once storage locations for Hollywood films!
This double feature included both early 20th-century history and contemporary architecture and design.
🎥 Discovering how Kansas City played a vital role in the 1930s-1960s American film industry was captivating.
🎞️ Seeing the vestiges of old film storage vaults was thrilling.
🍿And learning how critically important architects and designers were to ensure the safety of these Hollywood treasures was inspiring.

Attendees at our Thriving Creatively workshop let affirmations like this soak in and then they shared their own motivational and meditative hacks for staying healthy in a demanding design career. We were so fortunate to bring Alisha and Barney Abramson from @thrivingcreatively_ to share their combined expertise of therapy and design leadership with our community.
Kicked off @kcdesignweek with a magical home + studio tour of the super-talented @charliemylie (who spins some mean tunes too).
He and his wife, Sondy, have poured so much love into their 1920 home—eclectic, artful, and full of beautiful period details.
