Crafted on a limited budget, this project proves that design excellence and community impact can go hand in hand. Its clean lines, intentional footprint and urban sensibility make it a standout example of how small-scale housing can do big things!
Though this year’s @aiakc 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫 was sadly cancelled, the event is expected to return in 2026 during @kcdesignweek —bringing this thoughtfully designed home and more inspiring architecture to the spotlight. ✨

We’ve been back a week and I’m still filled up from this trip back to Asilong. The students honored us with this traditional Pokot song and dance and it was a gift I will not forget. To see these students in their element with the rest of the student body, teachers and staff fully supporting them, was truly a special experience. The school has become widely recognized in the county, region and even throughout the country. The transformation in this place over the last 10+ years that I’ve witnessed is amazing. It is gratifying to be a small part of the story, and even more so to be a part of this beautiful relationship.
