Michelle Monaghan is charting a season of discovery through bold new roles, meaningful advocacy and a life anchored in purpose. “I tend to gravitate toward projects that feel like a 180 from what I’ve done previously.”
From the wildly comedic Little Brother alongside Eric André and John Cena, to the haunting Netflix thriller The Whisper Man with Robert De Niro, Monaghan is embracing contrast, balancing irreverence with emotional depth. Next up is an untitled Netflix hockey drama, further cementing her instinct for bold, uncharted territory.
Off-screen, her perspective has shifted just as powerfully. After a melanoma diagnosis, she’s turning advocacy into action with A Kids Book About Sun Safety, out May 5, making education around SPF and skin health accessible for families.
At the center of it all is purpose. “I never shy away from fear. In fact, the more anxious, the more inclined I am to lean into something and go along for the ride.”
