We were godsmacked when we found out that Kate Bornstein, yes THAT Kate Bornstein (who I used to lecture about to my women's studies classes 20 years ago!!!!), was going to contribute the foreword to our first single-author poetry title by @eyeandy . I'll let her speak for herself: “You don’t say no when someone you love makes a book that vibrates like a subway rail right before the train comes screaming in. You hold on. You open your mouth. You get ready to be rattled...Andy’s poems are at once feral and generous. They flirt with gods, fuck with myths, and get off with ghosts. They treat surgical drains and subway rides like sacraments. They sing the body as battlefield and they sing the body as playground, sometimes in the same line. They will not let you sit still. And why should they? Stillness equals death, and these poems are so fucking alive...These pages are booby-trapped with tenderness. They explode with hormones and hymns. They demand so much more of you than is comfortable. And then they hand you a cigarette, a kiss, and a disco ball to make it worth your while." –Kate Bornstein, author of A Queer and Pleasant Danger: A Memoir and Gender Outlaws: The Next Generation. Thank you, @katebornstein , for your beautiful, poetic-as-hell, comments. We hope to see you/hear you on the open mic at the online pre-release party the last Sunday in November (Nov 30)!!! It's not too late to pre-order this book through the kickstarter (link in bio).

Big big big news!!! 📚 💫 🌈 🏳️‍⚧️ 💜@charliesqueerbooks and @generouspress are thrilled to present CASEY MCQUISTON in conversation with KATE BORNSTEIN and CAITLIN SULLIVAN. This cross-generational gathering of trans / nonbinary / queer storytellers is supernova-powerful stuff —let’s talk romance and pronouns, technology and sex, fascism and freedom! At this VIRTUAL event, Kate Bornstein & Caitlin Sullivan will discuss their cyber-erotic romantic thriller, Nearly Roadkill: Queer Love on the Run, with Casey McQuiston! Tickets (link in bio @generouspress ) include a copy of Nearly Roadkill, signed book plate and a sticker. Event link will be sent the day of the event. CASEY MCQUISTON is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of romantic comedies, including The Pairing, One Last Stop, I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and Red, White & Royal Blue, whose writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Bon Appetit. Born and raised in southern Louisiana, Casey now lives in New York City with a poodle mix named Pepper. Author, playwright, performance artist, and actress KATE BORNSTEIN is a trans icon whose pioneering books on the subject of nonbinary gender, GENDER OUTLAW and MY GENDER WORKBOOK are taught in six languages, at hundreds of colleges. Kate’s 2006 book, HELLO, CRUEL WORLD: 101 Alternatives to Suicide for Teens, Freaks, and Other Outlaws propelled them into an international position of advocacy for marginalized youth, earning two citations of honor from the New York City Council. CAITLIN SULLIVAN has written several plays, 2 1/2 novels, a comic book, worked as a journalist, and reported and edited for the Seattle Gay News for many years. She lives in a small rural town near a loud donkey and quiet cows.

This postcard is your notice that NEARLY ROADKILL: QUEER LOVE ON THE RUN by @katebornstein and Caitlin Sullivan will be out before the end of the summer, and it is perhaps the most nonbinary of all nonbinary romance novels that are also chaotic adventures that also take place on the internet in 1995 and 2025, with lots of rowdy sex and queer theory and fuck-the-gender-police energy. Pre-orders are live in our bio or whoever you get your books! Gender Outlaw came out May 12, 1994, it’s still making people laugh, cry, and gasp out loud in recognition. Thanks for your trust in me and support all these years. Oh, and fuck you very much, Donald Trump—I’ve sold more books than you have.
