Hey if you get a chance, go see the new production of Rocky Horror at Studio 54, it's up for nine Tonys and deserves every single one, it newly unfurled this deeply familiar story for me in a way that I haven't experienced in 25 years and I fully WEPT at the end. Happy birthday to @mx.roo !
Thank you to @phoenixlatex for this stunning garment! I tried it on and said "well I simply refuse to take this off" and they said "well you have to take it off at least for a minute because you put it on inside out"
Help Pumpkin find a new home!
*Urgent! By May 4th*
I'm having to relocate for work and I will only be able to take two of my three cat companions with me..
I made the heartbreaking decision to look for a new home for my dear cat Pumpkin.
Is anyone here seeking a cat companion? Or do you know anyone who is?
Pumpkin is sweet and easy-going and easy to live with, so she should be relatively easy for someone to bring into their home. I think Pumpkin would be happiest in a single-cat home, though she does well enough with my other cats (there may be some stress in transitioning to a new home with other cats; incorporating her into a single-cat home should be easy).
I would love to be able to keep in contact with Pumpkin and hear about how she's doing, because I'm going to miss her a lot!
Please DM if you can take in Pumpkin, or if you know someone who can.
We’re proud that our Senior Legal Director Andy Izenson was the featured speaker at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah (@cbst_nyc ) last weekend for their Trans Day of Visibility Shabbat Services. CBST is a progressive, queer synagogue in the heart of NYC committed to advancing equality and social justice. We’re grateful to CBST for welcoming them and creating space for LGBTQIA+ congregants. The event was free and open to the public, and you can find Andy’s full speech through the link in our bio.
Hi we're excited about flowers. 🌷 Join us on Saturday, April 18 from 1-3 pm at Willow Kiln Park in Rosendale, just behind the theater parking lot, for an outdoor spring gathering of the Hudson Valley Sorcerous Arts Society! 🌸
By popular vote, we will be discussing SPRING RITUALS, as well as having a SEED SWAP! 🫘 Consider bringing small jars, baggies, or pill bottles for ease of seed transport, if you want to participate in the swap. 🌱
We'll bring a few camp chairs and blankets in case picnic tables are not available - bring your own if you like! Masks will not be required outdoors but we support and encourage their use. 😷 As always, please feel free to bring show and tell if you wish! 🪄
Some of us may retire to the porch of Garden House for snacks and hot beverages after the meetup. ☕ You are welcome to join for that as well. The restaurant's grape leaves are transcendent, we are salivating just thinking about them. 🤤
See you soon,
Cal & Andy
Today is the 16th annual Trans Day of Visibility. It is not an easy time to be trans and be visible throughout most of the world. We want our trans siblings to know that we see you, we value you, and we won’t ever stop fighting for your right to exist as your most authentic selves. Trans people have always existed, and always will.
Whether you get to celebrate today openly and loudly, or if you’re waiting for a time that feels safer, please know that we celebrate you every day. The world is a better place because you’re in it, and we at Chosen Family Law Center are here to help in any way we can to build a world that embraces you as you are.
If you know anyone who needs a bit of hope today, share this inspiring article with them by our Senior Legal Director Andy Izenson, originally published in Scarleteen in 2025.
