Kendyll & Ryan waited 5 years to have the wedding they planned for back in 2020. The upside? Their kids were able to be a part of it. And thank goodness for that! I have a sweet spot for my newest assistant, Sean, who is for sure hired when he’s older!
I think a lot of what I pay attention to now on a wedding day is what will actually matter later on. Not what looks the cleanest, but what feels true to how it actually was. That showed up in how Ryan’s sister spoke about their relationship, how central their kids were to the day and in the old home videos of his mom used throughout their film.
That’s the stuff that holds weight over time.

This moment really got me.
Becky and David’s moms started the ceremony with a toast to the dads (their husbands), who couldn’t be there but whose presence was still very much felt. And somehow it didn’t feel super heavy, it just felt really genuine.
Honestly, I think it was the way they did it together. You can tell they’re actually close and the families just mesh and have each other’s backs. David’s mom forgetting to actually cheers them also helped 😅😂
