Let me walk you through the VYDripper experience. The VYDripper's V-shape allow to pour closer to the bed for better control and higher extraction — a sweeter, more expressive cup. The bottom heat-release opening removes excess heat quickly for a cleaner finish. Today's low-dose brew: 12g coffee. Even with a small dose, the design delivers high extraction efficiency and balanced sweetness. Brew guide (12g of Alo karamo roasted by @sunsanbake , medium-fine grind size -FM9.5 grinder , 92°C temp): • Bloom 45ml —Gently opens up the coffee, releasing bright acidity. • Pour to 110ml — Immersion extends contact time — extracting mid-weight sugars for medium-intensity strawberry sweetness • Pour to 180ml — long, clean finish With VYDripper + VYHiFlux filter paper, every pour is controlled with more clarity, sweetness, and enjoyment.

We’re pleased to introduce our custom filter paper, developed in collaboration with @hiflux_coffee . It wasn’t just about better brewing — it was about rethinking how water moves through coffee. This filter is made with lyocell, featuring a redesigned fiber structure that directs water vertically through the coffee bed. The result is a more even extraction — producing a cup that is round, sweet, and clean, with exceptional clarity. Folding instructions for the VYhiflux filter paper: 1. Fold along the pre-scored seam. 2. Gently open into a cone shape. 3. Seat the filter in your dripper with the marked side facing up. 4. Rinse thoroughly, add ground coffee, and begin your brew. Watch as she guides us through her brewing recipe to unlock the perfect cup. The Blend: 12g total (9g Totumas Natural + 3g Nuguo Honey). The Temperature Sandwich: 70°C for the bloom, 90°C for the heart, and 70°C for the finish to highlight floral aromatics. The Method: Three precise pours—40ml, 110ml, and 180ml—finishing in exactly 2 minutes. Testing the design theory of the @vydripper . The VY dripper -it’s a hybrid. The top is a V (like a V60) the V design allow me to pour closely to the coffee bed for more extraction , and the bottom is vertical with wide flow channels (like a Y) which have a wide hole to release the heat quickly . “Let water find its own way.” So I decided to test with hiflux filter paper recipe. I used HiFlux paper. The Result: The 1:22min drawdown was clean, and the cup was all bright florals and sweet stonefruit. My Specs: -VYDripper @vydripper -10g Panama Santa Maria Washed Geisha @santamariaestatecoffee - (K-Ultra) 4.2 grind size @1zpresso -filter paper @hiflux_coffee -40g → 120g → 170g pours (Last pour with 10g/s higher centre pour) -130g output in 1:22min -enjoy in @huhu_collection cup -Available to get them via @ytta.curate -Dm me to get your first VYdripper if you are in Malaysia.
