The album dropped a little over a week ago on 4/30 and copies of the 2xLP landed at our doorstep today. They will be available at the shop on Sunday, you can buy it from Patrick and support Jump Source directly ;)
Jump Source is the Montreal-based duo of Francis Latreille
@priori_tize and Patrick Holland. After a string of excellent dubby, instrumental tech-house 12s on their own label over the past 7 years — JS-01 to JS-06, all of which we highly recommend — ‘Fold’ marks an ambitious step forward in the elaboration of their sound. Working with a range of vocalists on the full-length, including POiSON GiRL FRiEND, billy woods, Loukeman and Helena Deland among others, Jump Source threads together dancefloor-focused cuts with an anything-goes pop ethos throughout that hearkens back to the electronic LP boom of the early 2000s.
In addition to their formidable work as solo artists and a duo, Francis and Patrick run a highly-esteemed shared studio in MTL and have had their hands involved as producers, writers and all-around collaborators on some major releases over the past few years. Their signature touch can be distinctly heard on a couple of our favorite records from 2025, Car Culture’s Rest Here and James K.’s Friend. Look out for them behind the boards and in the booth this summer as they take their live and DJ sets to the US and Europe. We’re certain there’s more to come from these two, stay tuned…
