DONT WORRY BABY 🛸 coming may 1st 👽 this record is a fantasy... a record about hope. hoping that aliens actually exist and that one day they’ll take us from this planet; away from ai slop, insane leaders, manosphere influencers, microplastics, and dopamine hijacking. 📡 if you’re out there... we’re waiting for you 🌎 it’s an incredible honor to collaborate with an artist like tiga. a timeless voice we all recognize, whose records have been remixed for decades. when we got together, it felt right to write a track that reflected the dance floors i was playing at the time, specifically a massive stadium in sydney. i hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it together. see you on mars x

Let’s celebrate Tiga’s new album release on June 5th as Tiga, Tony Price and Guthrie join us at Standard Time! Tiga, born in Montreal, is a globally renowned DJ, producer, and the creative force behind Turbo Recordings. His journey began in the vibrant chaos of the 1980s Indian club scene, where he developed a deep appreciation for electronic music’s transformative power. Returning to Montreal in the early 1990s, Tiga pioneered a new wave of nightlife, introducing innovative party concepts, guest DJs, and Montreal’s first rave, “Solstice,” in 1993. His relentless pursuit of musical excellence saw him co-founding the legendary nightclub Sona, creating a sanctuary for bold, cutting-edge dance music, while his label Turbo Recordings became a launchpad for numerous iconic releases in electronic music from legends such as Chromeo, Azari & III, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, ANNA, and Charlotte de Witte. As a producer, Tiga achieved global recognition with his chart-topping cover of “Sunglasses at Night,” a collaboration with Zyntherius, which became an anthem for electro enthusiasts. His remix credits include high-profile artists such as The xx, LCD Soundsystem, Moby, Depeche Mode, and Justice, solidifying his reputation as a master of reinvention. Tiga’s contribution to the prestigious DJ Kicks series showcased his eclectic style, while his original works, including the hit single “Pleasure from the Bass,” cemented his place in the pantheon of electronic music. At we kick on in 2026, Tiga’s new album HOTLIFE serves as his latest statement, featuring the likes of Fcukers, Boys Noize, Maara, and MRD alongside production credits from Paranoid London, Jump Source, and Matthew Dear. With his infectious creativity and a career spanning decades, Tiga continues to captivate audiences worldwide, shaping the sound of modern club culture. Tony Price will also be playing live and Guthrie from Turbo, Montreal will be on opening duties. Tickets now available - link in Standard Time’s bio. June 5th - doors 10pm Artwork @thoughtyoga

Pioneer, showman, “legend”… Tiga has earned his stripes across his illustrious career, but how does it feel to return to the spotlight with his first album in over a decade?  Having helped lay the groundwork for the electroclash eruption in the early ‘00s, @tiga has witnessed the countless dancefloor cycles, though has rarely attempted to fit into transient trends — maintaining his trademark racy club sound while working constantly to evolve. “I don’t like to repeat myself in any way. It doesn’t get me excited,” he says. “That’s the thing I work the hardest on.” On ‘HOTLIFE’, his fourth studio album which landed on his imprint @turborecordings last week, Tiga simultaneously places a flag in the ground for his new era, while flexxing his dancefloor credentials – bringing in a typically eclectic list of collaborators including Boys Noize, Matthew Dear, Fcukers, MRD, Gesloten Cirkel, Paranoid London and Maara. In this edition of The Mix, he takes us behind the curtain of “remixes to come” alongside some of his era-defining favourites. In the accompanying interview he talks Ice Age (2002), the electroclash revival, and how making a “bomb record” remains the barometer of success.  Read the interview and listen to his instalment of The Mix via mixmag.net. ✍️: @mmtowns 📸: @qarimbrown
