I'm currently working on a (video) podcast and my distinguished guest was wearing a Jones hat and I was wearing a Vans hat. Turns out I need to get a logo release for both of our hats. If you know anybody at any level at either of these companies, I'd be forever grateful for a connection. You could even say, I'd owe you one.
Bandit Hill was the labor of love (sweat, tears, slime, pixels) for so many people. Jill created a magical fun filled world with her characters and illustrations, @owenrixonpro brought the characters to life frame by frame using classic 2D animation. @lacykemp crafted an amazing story full of wonder and charm (and kept us all moving in the right direction). @frankowski_pictures pointed the camera in all the good directions. @keithwhiteaudio brought the pictures to life with sound. @brynatkinson did everything was asked and also showed us where to point the camera, turns out he's pretty good at that. @aaronlutze got the project moving and made sure it got the support it needed. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone that helped make this project happen. Full film released soon!
This post is about a happy girl named Jill - @jillkintner . She is incredibly hard working, stupidly talented (on a bike and in art making) and really fun to work with. Not only did Jill star in this short film, she also developed the story with @lacykemp and created all the characters and artwork featured in the short film. She was all in. And it was awesome. Again, another huge shout out to @owenrixonpro and @the2dworkshop for animating all of Jill's characters and bringing them to life. This project was so incredibly fun to make that I want to keep sharing it. I will post the entire short on Instagram and YouTube in the next week, so stay tuned in.
I'm going to keep posting these, because come on... look how cute this is. I mean it's really friggin' cute. The animation work by @owenrixonpro is incredible. The artwork by @jillkintner is so fun, and the writing by @lacykemp is magical. Not going to lie, compositing it all together was something I don't want to repeat, but it's just so darn cute.

I can't believe I haven't spent more time sharing this project with everyone. This is Bandit Hill, link in bio to the full short film. It was an incredible collaboration with so many rad people. Incredible writing by @lacykemp equally rad riding and original art by @jillkintner . Super fun 2D animation by @the2dworkshop . @frankowski_pictures putting the lens in the right place even when there wasn't anything there. @keithwhiteaudio providing the juicy sounds as always. @jeremykenning pinch hitting some VFX when I got overwhelmed and confused. If you've ever lost a glove, or had a kid lose a glove, or share that fear of losing a glove off the chairlift, this might put a smile on your face.
I was lucky to have @frankowski_pictures follow me around with a camera as I awkwardly walked, jumped, and crashed a glove around town. He definitely made my silly idea look much, much better.
I used a lot of different tools in post production but the saving grace was Mask Prompter from @aescripts .
