Official J. Ralph x Shilstone x Method Man collaboration.
An animated interpretation of J. Ralph and Method Man’s first encounter. The one-of-a-kind artwork commemorates the chance meeting between the two musical artists in the hallway of Def Jam Recordings circa 1994. Method Man was propelled into an impromptu tour-de-force of lyrical flow as J. Ralph played the MC his new beats from cassette tapes on his boombox. It would be decades later before the two artists reconnected and finished one of the "hallway boombox tracks”, while working together on the documentary Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics & Men. The NFT features their original song “93 Bells”, a time capsule tribute through the golden age of hip-hop, with music written and produced by composer J. Ralph and new lyrics by Wu-Tang Clan founding member Method Man, finally completed 25 years later.
