The local cast has been announced for the international production of The Last Ship which will join the international touring cast which include music superstars Sting and Shaggy .
Inspired by Sting’s childhood in Wallsend in the United Kingdom, and drawing on his own musical roots, THE LAST SHIP tells the piercing story of a community facing the disappearance of their shipyard – the heart of their existence. In a world where past and future collide, themes such as loss, pride and connectedness echo.
Currently on a world tour with stops in Amsterdam, Paris, New York and exclusive in Australia to stop in Brisbane at QPAC premiering in April 2026.
Acclaimed musical THE LAST SHIP is written and composed by Sting and this revised production will feature a New Book by Barney Norris from a book by Lorne Campbell based on an original book by John Logan & Brian Yorkey.
