Immigrants are my friends, neighbors, and if I go back just a few generations, family. They’re endowed with the same spark of life and longing for the good life as all of us and deserve to be treated with fairness and humanity.
I contributed a live track (featuring @david.s.jones.iii , @jool_yun , and @snailhook from our show in Cleveland last November, thanks @matthew_j_rolin for organizing) to a new compilation out today from @seawindofbattery and @centripetalforcerecords benefiting the Minnesota-based Immigrant Rapid Response Fund.
The tune is called “Habitat,” and it reflects a yearning for all beings to be able to carve out a home turf and community and flourish.

Played my last set of 2025 yesterday, a lovely matinee show at Cascades Library in Potomac Falls, VA. Was nice to have a couple of young guitarists in the crowd, and I think I convinced a mom to get her son an electric guitar.
Played 23 shows in 11 states + DC in 2025, something I’m proud of with having full-time (and fortunately, meaningful) non-music work. As I start to map out 2026, if you have any gig requests, whether solo or with band, please reach out.
Thanks so much to everyone who came out to a show, organized a show, played on a bill, bought the new record, etc. Means the world to me.
Concluding what has felt like an active year of music for me (and thanks to everyone who played a role in that) with two December events:
1) Dec 6, library solo set. Free! I’ve been enjoying these occasional gigs through the Loudoun County Public Library system (thanks for the invite, Jeremy). The longer length (~90 mins) of these sets has allowed me to revive some older tunes and get comfortable with new ones. And I’ve got a good set planned for this one. Original image: @cbruno1983

Tomorrow night, Mon, Nov 17, at 8pm, I’ll be taking to the airwaves of Takoma Radio (WOWD, 94.3 FM) playing a solo guitar set featuring the entirety of my new album, Proceed, on Matt Bormet’s great Days Have Gone By show. We concluded the last two shows of our Midwest tour in trio mode. A particular highlight was our Milwaukee set, where the lean configuration was the right fit for the intimate @jazzgalleryarts . Esteemed local music head and taper @rmhaze organized the show, and he got a great recording of it, now up on his wonderful Milwaukee Taper site, available for free download.
