Earlier this year, I heard a wild army ghost story and, on a whim, decided to turn it into a short film. Two months later, we were deep in the jungles of Kota Tinggi shooting When The Cold Wind Blows. Next month, the film finally returns home — at SGIFF. @sgiffest Thank you all of you for taking this crazy journey with me. Tickets go on sale on 27 Oct and usually sell out fast, but I will try my best to reserve tickets for as many cast and crew as possible. Milk Baby, our labor of love for the past year had its LA premiere last night. Incredibly grateful for the support from @panavisionofficial and @company_3 , as well as my incredible team, especially @davewilwayco who went with my crazy idea to light the entire film with only tungsten lights in keeping with the retro styling. Shot on Panavision B series anamorphics and graded by the maestro @kathraisch

Come with us #behindthescenes on ‘MILK BABY’, a haunting, intimate short film premiering at this year’s HollyShorts, written & directed by Kristen Gerweck Diaz and produced by Lou Wang-Holborn (@wangxiaolv ). The film’s #cinematographer Jon Keng (@jonkeng ) captured the delicate balance between dream and dread with striking precision, shooting on a variety of #Panavision lenses. Keng tells us, “The #Bseries lens was a great choice for Milk Baby as we wanted to capture this romanticized dystopian world in a timeless, retro setting. The B series provided a vintage feel while the barrel distortion, distinct flaring and unique bokeh gave depth to the dystopian backdrop.
