Yes people it’s true we are going to have a new album for you on Halloween of this year and it is a full force rocker, a blistering 27 minute long psycho-punk-billy-trash-nuclear-fission-warp speed-f’d up act of sonic terrorism. And there are even some good parts! We sing about the pitfalls of modernity, the smell of near-apocalypse, insane mountain compound dwelling preppers, wage slavery, cults, baby’s first knife, making friends with wild packs of dogs, and pay homage to our absolute favorite TV personality of ALL time! (Can you guess who? Comment below and we will send ya something cool for free!)
So what does this mean? Why? How? Well - how is pretty neat - a year ago we went into a fantastically equipped studio in Austin on the sacred holiday Hallows Eve and spent exactly 72 hours recording 10 songs with the master engineer and producer Jim Vollentine behind the mixing desk, assisted by our buddy John Michael Schoepf. Jim and John are a type of rare guys who have good tone leaking from their ears and they did not hesitate to bust out the “nice stuff” when it came to microphones and other studio gear - transistors and tubes and valuable military surplus radio parts…we even were so honored to sing into an extremely rare u47 microphone that once bore the saliva of Freddy Mercury himself. Worth more than our lives combined and way too nice for us, but the point is WE WENT ALL OUT on getting proper sounds for YALL to enjoy. Good “bad” sounds if you will. Ghost Wolves, full throttle, PREMIUM BLEND YALL!!
And right now, you can reserve your copy of this fantastic new record on 12” vinyl via the good people at
@saustex records - yes THE Saustex Records — the San Antonio based home of corn lovers, Hickoids, Blowfly, BP Fallon, and so many fanatic underground rock n roll superstars for the last 40 years.
