The challenge of this project was to transform an existing location into a space that felt purpose-built—a laundromat that looked completely real: a total make-over. The work began by reading the location’s structure and using it to their advantage. All walls and beams were wrapped, allowing recessed lighting to be integrated, adding depth and realism. A fixed island unit that couldn’t be moved was adapted and absorbed into the set, helping define the spatial layout rather than fighting against it. The original floor was preserved, but within its existing grid, new vinyl tiles were introduced; matching the texture while shifting the color to orange, subtly transforming the space without breaking its logic. Custom graphics were designed to evoke a classic laundromat: logo, opening hours, signage. Carefully selected props completed the environment, layering textures, finishes, and color to build a believable world. This was about working with what already existed — structure, constraints, proportions and reshaping it into something entirely new. The same place: A whole new shape. In the next post, we’ll share the final result and the full spot. Stay tuned Credits Production company: @caviar.tv Service: @nevada_service Director: #Miguelcampaña DOP: @fauraoscar Executive producer: @margullos Producer: @sararenteriac Production Designer: @jfa.ro aka @into.liminal Art assistant: @lidianavt Prop buyer: danielartesero Prop buyer: @laura.figuerola Stand by props: @jokinboada @ivan_navarro10 @isaortegao @pulammac Ruben Cerviñon @artenset Alberto Hernandez Stand by props assistant: @miiri.i.am @albachac0 Construction Team: @palomaresgrupoarte 3D concept: @mus_concept Location: @nave_laleo

Proud to share this piece for Porsche, “You Make Me Feel”, a commercial directed by the acclaimed Roman Coppola, filmmaker, producer, and writer. Juanfa had the opportunity to work on the production design of this project during a previous chapter of his career, shooting alongside a true master from @TheDirectorsBureau in August 2024. Seeing it finally come to light in 2025 has been a moment of great pride. Collaborating on a project like this, learning, observing, and creating alongside such an influential creative, is a reminder that dreams do come true. Check out the last slide to see both in action on set. Special thanks to the cast and crew: DOP — @phillipkaminiak_cinematography Production Company — rekorder.de Service Production — productionportugal Gaffer — @marcosalesgaffer Art Directors — @owdirectors

If Juanfa had to start his production design career from scratch, he wouldn’t rush toward bigger projects — he’d go back to the basics. Learning manual crafts like watercolor, carpentry, and hands-on techniques helped him understand materials, processes, and limitations — and that understanding became a real creative advantage. Creativity isn’t just about ideas. It’s about knowing how things are made, how they behave, and how to push them further. So if you’re starting your journey in this profession, here’s his take as an expert: mastering the craft behind the work leads to better results. Save this if you’re building your creative path.
