Branding and custom typography for @makuazu exhibition The World Within at the Venice Biennale. The typeface was crafted to mirror Maku Azu’s fluid strokes, mingling with Mint Grotesk for clarity. It’s a visual love story, where curves and clean lines dance together, creating an emotional connection.
So much blood, sweat and tears went into pulling this exhibition off and I can’t believe we managed to make it happen against all odds.

Thrilled with how the table of contents in @leo_villareal : Coding Light turned out! Printed on the inner cover with a Swiss Binding construction, it kicks out while the book is open, acting as a beacon or wayfinding device that keeps you oriented through his entire body of work.

Mid-Career Monograph for @leo_villareal_studio published by @phaidonpress (Formerly @monacellipress ). Rather than cherry-picking tropes from Leo’s immense body of work to replicate, we worked together closely to apply his artistic methodology to the form of the book itself.
The monograph is Swiss bound with a metallic corduroy textile, screen printed with metallic puffer ink and the cover photo is CMYK printed on iridescent paper.

🍻 Wow, this is one of those once-in-a-lifetime projects where you get to help find the identity for an entire emerging community. @tschuss_bar started out as an idea for a Berlin-themed bar in St.Louis 🇩🇪🇺🇸 but in a few short weeks it’s already unfurled into a glistening, pulsating hotspot in the heart of St.Louis 💃
Juxtaposing naive hand-drawn brush lettering (practically finger-painting) with a controlled but expressive monospace typeface ➕ warm color palette, we’ve crafted a brand that mashes classic Midwest DIY ethos with the industrial zeitgeist of Berlin.
