Fantastic celebration of our annual Capstone exhibition last night! Students were on hand to talk about all their research in curating objects for Art & Exchange: African Textiles in the Global Marketplace, led by Dr. Jordan Fenton. The Art History Capstone is a signature class of our program, an opportunity for students to curate a professional exhibition at the Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum. Go see the show now! It is on view through June 7th. #miamioh #miamioharthistory @miamiohartmuseum @miamiuniversity

So great to see the fantastic work of my colleague Richard James this afternoon on our way to the Bengals game. The massive ceramic sculpture, 'No True Scotsman', is really impressive to see in person.

A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM A DOG FROM SPRINGFIELD, OHIO: My name is Justice Thompson, and I am from the great city of Springfield, Ohio. I've heard a lot of false and hurtful stuff going around about dogs in my hometown, and I'm here to tell you that no one has ever tried to eat me or my friends. I am an active communicator on our local bark network, and I have never heard anything like this. This is totally made up, and I don't appreciate being made a pawn in the lies of hooman hate (grrrr). In fact, the people of Springfield have been nothing but nice and friendly to me, whether it's going on long walks or playing in the dog parks. I even ran away one time and a stranger was nice enough to make sure I found my way back home! My brother Rothko (a Kentucky native) has also spent many, many happy days rolling in the grass in Springfield with me and echoes my comments (with beagle howls). As for the cats of Springfield, well, they are my sworn enemy, so I am obviously not a fan. However, the good hoomans of Springfield are also very kind to cats and would never eat them either. Come to think of it, now that I have recently moved to Cincinnati, I think that Springfield is likely safer for felines than ever. Don't believe the lies, don't spread the hate (not even as a joke). Speak a good word for Springfield - or say nothing. I'm Justice and I approve this message. Ruff ruff!
