On Sunday our darling mermaid Jerrie passed away, surrounded by her loved ones peacefully at home. She was the shiniest and brightest star who lit up every room she walked into. Her love for life touched everyone around her, to know her was to love her. We are certain wherever she has gone she is already making it more beautiful. We love you for eternity. 💙🩵💙
Up and back to FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND. It’s so far up mate! The east coast of Australia is so special to us. Tropical fruit platters under palm trees! Rainforest walks with giant spiders and a million cane toads! We snorkelled the GBR MF!! not a stinger in sight - but lucky we had our suits on and slathers of Vaseline. We saw giant sea turtles and sharks. Walking on deserted beaches with the real threat of a croc attack! Amazing jungle stays with perfect weather and one day where we had to eat sultana bran for 3 meals. Seeing old friends. Massages and bath houses and some of the best hotels. All with my wildly joyful beautiful Bobby, jumping into every adventure with his speedos on 🩵💙.

Probably my favourite space, just because it’s so cosy and there are so many custom fun elements in here.
We wanted to separate the room, half for moodboarding and brainstorming/ presenting and half for chilling / reading and getting the juices flowing.
I covered half the room in @portugalcorkco - the walls and floors. We had the amazing @stevesmithart2 come and do a custom FAIL HARDER sign (a classic Weidenism) -
@wildsets made me the velvet double couch of my dreams - so people could look either way in this room.
I collected art from lots of my favourite places - @rudirocket totem / some cute pieces from @_studio_a_ / @thedeastore ceramic pieces / @rubble.workshop lamp / vintage art collected from alllll around Sydney.

We had an impromptu birthday party, ofc and there’s a sneaky @jerriejoy pic in the mix too.

The kitchen:
One of my favourite things is this custom stained glass lamp by my beautiful friend @friendofallglass - we collaborated on the design between Philadelphia and Sydney and it arrived UNCRACKED. what a delight!
We stripped back the OG (green, ugly, corporate) kitchen and gave them a simple ply refresh with custom handles.
Bar stools are so hard to find! So I found some retro suiting material and asked Martin Sims to wrap and tuck them. I think they look like little 80’s Mc’Donalds workers … 👔
Outside: We powder coated vintage outdoor tables and I scoured the (dark) web for vintage Sebel / Vitra Panton chairs in my dream colours - and my little balcony diner all came together.
The BIG boardroom: I wanted it to feel like a meeting room in 1982. We stripped the grey (why?!) carpet, turned it bright red, covered the walls in @portugalcorkco and of course - the absolute stand out in this room - the custom Maccas lampshades hand made by @_emilieclaire_ 🍔

When @wk_sydney knocked on my email and said “Hey! We’re moving to Sydney! Can you make our new space feel cosy and a bit weird?” I got verrrrrry excited. “YES PLEASE!”
I have so many elements to share of this project. Sooo many incredible makers / creators / painters worked with me to bring this cosy, freak show space to life.
First up thank you to @chri.s.w@unbeleibowitz & @matthew0wen and Calvin! for saying yes to most of my whack ideas and colour combos.
Starting with the main office area:

Koala 🐨 friend I found @mitchellroadantiques and had to have him.
They wanted fun desks, so we had @wildsets hand paint 10 custom desks in warped colour combos and sat them on many, many vintage rugs, a lot from @rexrugsmelbourne and some fun ones from @double.online.au
I found the giant cobra in a junk shop and knew she’d be a good mascot for the crew, her yellow eyes following them all day!
Designing and decorating this space was so much fun. And I haven’t even shown you the kitchen or the back room yet!
