Earlier this year I had a goal of re working my website to align with the style of photography I am creating a the clients I want to build with. I teamed up with Peter of @pedroandjackie to revamp my website to showcase the quality of work I provide clients. Check out this short video of the desktop view of my website. If you are feeling this look do me a favor and drop a ā¤ļø on the comments. Much love to all my supports since day one.

Month ago, a good friend of mine Caine reached out to recreate an idea he had for @nixon watches. It turned into a whole shoot just having fun, learning about his history with this iconic watch brand and how it has shaped his career and friendships through out the years. For those that don’t know, Caine was my first Muay Thai coach and helped be find a love for the sport. Pushed me past my limits and made me a stronger person. I knew he was a talented skater and always wanted to photograph him….. I finally did. Big shout out to @hendostudios for welcoming me with open arms and being very kind host to our small project. I can’t recommend his space enough for any photo or video projects. #lifestylephotography #nixon #cainegayle ā€œ Always Goldā€ is a term that Caine created and has attached it to my work as an artist. Much love @cainegayle

I had the pleasure of photographing Japanese Champion @k1takeru while he was training with @trainwithsef at the legendary @boxingworks in Torrance. Through out my career I have been blessed to photograph champions from all over the world. It is through years of work, my quality of work, and trust, that I am invited to these private sessions with legendary athletes. I remember Takeru as he faced one of my fave fighters @victor_venomoussaravia years ago in Japan. He was a force back then and is a force right now. Takeru was super nice and friendly giving me the time to photograph him. Grateful to Sef for the opportunity. Photographing Takeru’s last fight camp is a bucket list item for me and I hope that he gets to put on a show in Japan. It was an honor.

Late last year, Kenny came by and collabed on a shoot here in Downtown San Diego. It’s an Ode to vintage clothing and my love for all things 90s. Took inspo from my trip to Buffalo last year and Kenny was bout it. She happened to be in town from Thailand for the holidays and made such a valiant effort to get fitted and test before shoot day. She saw my vision and became part of the art work. Grateful for her time and energy she put into this idea of mine.

Off to Thailand again for a couple of months. Big dreams require big sacrifices, and I’m excited for the new challenges ahead. I don’t know exactly what this next journey looks like, but I have faith that God is always guiding me in the right direction. I am beyond blessed to have a supportive soon-to-be wife, family, friends, and all of you who continue to support me every step of the way. This journey can get lonely at times, but having all of you behind me truly goes a long way. That love pushes me to strive harder and give more every single day. Thank you to @jeffdojillo for documenting my last session before takeoff. I’m ready to go out there, leave it all on the line, and truly live the dream. See y’all soon. šŸ™šŸ¾šŸ‡¹šŸ‡šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

Stopped by @boxingworks to visit the team and document one of the last training sessions before Jackie heads out to Thailand to defend her @onechampionship kickboxing title. It’s in my DNA to shoot this sport, no matter how long it’s been, who I’m shooting or where I am at. What I do notice is that my style is consistent but evolves ever so slightly that, maybe, i am the one that only notices. It’s always a pleasure to see Jackie before she leaves, catch up with Popejoy and see Janet still active giving back to her team mates as they did for her. High level kickboxing/muay thai is different. There are levels to this sport. Something that social media can’t give you.. that only can be earned through hard work, dedication and most importantly sacrifice. The sport is changing everyday, and I wax poetically about how it should be, but one thing matters most. Being the best. Team Jackie.

There are a lot of world champions here in the USA, but only a few actually fight international opponents on world stages to earn the title of a true world champion. We are in the digital age of athletes who would rather fight for easily obtainable belts, rather than fighting tough opponents. We are in a place where follower counts are valued over losing records. There are only a few that take the hard fights against tough fighters, and become true champions. Jackie is blessed to be one of them. Under the guidance of Bryan Popejoy, Jackie will make history, becoming the first American to become a two sport champ at ONE Championship. I tell those that ask for my advice is to ā€œwalk the path that was paved for youā€ Jackie is leaving footprints showing the world what a young kid from the South Bay of California can do if you believe in your self. Best of luck to the @boxingworks team. #Teamjackie.
