🎥: @zero6ixstudios Some action from the 5th round. The energy from the crowd was incredible. I remember @bryanpopejoy telling me in the corner leading up to the round to be mentally strong this round, finish strong. Throw body kicks or high kicks on either side, he doesn’t have any answer. And during the round I could honestly only hear @donavanmc telling me to go Sef, you gotta go and I think I glanced at him for a second and I knew what he wanted. So I just let it all go and kicked as much as I could. I’m happy that I was able to give everything I got and come away with a win. I definitely learned a little more about myself being in there. I think all fighters usually do when they step in that ring or cage. There’s no other describable feeling being in there. It’s one of a kind.

📸: @viv_shoots Last night I won the Royal Combat 137lb belt against a resilient opponent Gabriel Martinez, good fight man. Thank you to everyone that came out to support me last night. All my family, friends and boxing works familia, you guys are the best thank you 🙏🏼 🙌🏼. I had a great time showcasing my Muay Thai and feeling all the amazing energy you guys put out for me. I am thankful to be coached by @bryanpopejoy and @torresleatherworks . They believe in me and have helped me grow as a fighter and coach/trainer. Thanks to my teammate @donavanmc for always being an A1 cornerman and keeping me locked in and aware in the ring. And to the rest of my teammates as well thank you 🙏🏼 you guys are the best. We have an amazing team and I’m so blessed to be apart of it. I also want to thank @k1takeru for the support and training these past two weeks. Training with Takeru has made me a better fighter and I’m truly grateful 🙏🏼. I am very thankful for @royalcombatpromotions giving me the opportunity to fight for the belt and having me on their spectacular show. Always glad to be apart of it 🤝🏼. And I must also add a thank you to @risepersonaltraining . They got me into great shape and gave me a great program to follow in 4 weeks 💪🏼.

This was the last sparring session with Takeru for his LA training camp. As you can see we are throwing fast but not hard and we are pulling our punches back at the last second. There’s a few times where he could have hit me really clean and hard but he knew there was no need. This is how we sparred to keep his eyes sharp and defend punches. I was doing my best to imitate Rodtang and throw a lot of hooks and straights while standing in front of him. You can see how well he was getting his head off the center line to throw the overhand and hook. And that’s what he got Rodtang with numerous times to get the K.O. @k1takeru @boxingworks

Congratulations Takeru!! Sugoi すごい . I wanted to say so much after your win but I know you were busy celebrating 🎉. Your last fight was the best fight I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’m sure it’ll be remembered in history as one of the best kickboxing fights of all time. Beating an opponent who everyone thought was invincible. But we both knew you could beat him and knock him out from the very beginning when we started training in October 2022. It’s been 4 years of training together and it’s always been a great experience my friend. I truly appreciate all you have done for me. You have opened so many doors and opportunities for me and I’m grateful 🙇‍♂️. You saw something in me and believed in my abilities. I have become a better fighter, trainer, and overall martial artist because of you. Thank you for including me in your amazing journey as a champion and fighter. I am so happy you were able to accomplish your goals and have a great ending to your fighting career. You have always trained so hard, it was amazing to witness. We would usually do 10-12 rounds of mitts and pads and then sometimes spar 3-5 rounds after. Your work ethic is unmatched and that’s why you deserve this win 🥇 and great ending to your legend career. I hope we can still train together from time to time or even just hangout. Hope you enjoy retirement and I wish you and your family the best brother @k1takeru 🤝🏼🙏🏼🙇‍♂️✨.

Training at @vasileus_gym has been a great experience. I am grateful to have been able to train and spar with so many skilled fighters and champions. It honestly felt like training in a gravity chamber sometimes because of how fast and strong everyone is. I felt slow compared to them 😅. But that’s fine because I know there is another level to reach. Training here has gotten me stronger and faster but I know there’s more I can still learn and improve. Thank you 🙏🏼🙇‍♂️ to the fighters and trainers! Tsubasa Sekiya @tsutomu_takahagi @yozayuki_1 @takumiterada_1 @shintaro.matsukura @shoa_arii @h.kingteddy @tatsuya.oiwa

Tsutomu Takahagi is another amazing trainer I had the opportunity to train with. He showed me a lot of new techniques as well and is great on the pads 🔥. If you’re ever at Vasileus make sure to book a private with him! He’s one of the best 👍🏻💯.

It was an honor meeting and training with Sef Ramos, who’s here sharpening Takeru Segawa for his ONE Championship final match against Rodtang Jitmuangnon on April 29th. Here’s a quick preview of his mitt work training—dialing in rhythm, timing, and flow with the lead hand, building clean basic combinations, and correcting mistakes in real time. Simple, sharp, and effective. Highly recommend checking out his mitt holding workshops and seminars if you get the chance 👊 Learn more online step by step by commenting “app” and I’ll DM you a link to get a 7-day free trial. #MittWork #FightTraining #Striking #MartialArts #ONEChampionship
