One of my reductive drawings is included in the invitational group exhibition “Light” @anddurango The process for this work literally requires the artist to carve out light from darkness using sandpaper against the surface of the canvas. Inspiration comes in many forms. I always enjoy asking fellow artists what they are currently listening to in the studio. For me, the song’s & lyrics of @orvillepeck are a continual source of inspiration. His work pushes the boundaries of the western myth and psyche to new levels. It felt natural to include these drawings in @smokethemoon group exhibition PULP: A Drawing Show where the immediacy of pen to paper is deeply connected to these other forms of expression and inspiration.
