Walking down from Vital Transformation, Alex and I stumbled upon the most stunning, spellbinding line (on a boulder) Iāve seen in Squamish. āPinch me, I must be dreamingā, I thought. Inner monologue takes over, āOh look, another lip traverseā Casey mutters to me. š
Alas, ever since feasting eyes on it, it has consumed me; distracting me mid-conversations, waking me in the wee hours of the night, I knew this feeling was profound and I couldnāt resist the temptation to try it. Iāve been mostly trad climbing this trip, trying to get more comfortable in a world that seems so foreign, but itās nice to go practice climbing when the blocs are this tantalizing. After rehearsing the top on a cord and feeling some body positions, I rallied pads up, rested, and took it to send town, then tried Extraterrestrial up at White Cliff, and finished the day at the Malamute.

Finally made it happen; I had the opportunity to make a detour to the coast on my way up to BC and couldnāt pass it by. In my formative years of climbing, I loved watching and getting inspired by classic scaling reels like Rampage and Spray, both of which showcased a remote oceanside set of honkinā boulders, known as The Lost Rocks. I knew this stopover wouldnāt be regretted and it was a great start to another glorious adventure to turn this year around. With the company of only my thoughts, and my trusty Organic pads I had plenty of time to ruminate in this magical and serene setting while the roaring high tides rushed to shore. The indigenous people of the Yurok Tribe have long inhabited this region, subsisting on the land even to this day, they have a very deep and sacred connection with this prehistoric landscape, and the flora and fauna within it. If you visit this area, please respect their wishes to not travel any further north than the Flake boulder.

Our time in South Africa has finally come to a bittersweet end. Iām so appreciative for all the kindhearted individuals I met along the way and the connections made with new and existing friends; the people really do make a place feel special, and that prevailing feeling overshadowed any amount of climbing I could have ever accomplished. Clearly, flowers clog up my photo album more than humans or rocks so I hope you enjoy some of the breathtaking flora I was lucky enough to capture. #summercamp #mrsofficer
The weather in the Cederberg Wilderness has been a bit moody this past week, but the excessive moisture luckily highlights the jaw dropping landscape and vivid colors. Thus far, Rocklands is giving us all the feels, accompanied by nothing but top notch individuals
Iām getting ready to embark on an indelible journey across the globe to South Africa šæš¦. As I eagerly wait amongst many single serving passengers, I reminisce the past several weeks and months spent roaming around the Sierras. Hereās a small sampling of what comes to mind:
1) Urs linking pieces to the puzzle on the Darkseid Project.
2) Nick weaving down a swerving bog, descending from Mt Price.
3)Trevor mantling Ramiās Noodle Bowl š² at Lyonās Den.
4) Pastel boys on the spot, while Owen rides a Lenticular cloud out at Lyonās Den.
5)A dash of greenery in a sea of graniteā¦
6)Bountiful beauty on breaks at workā¦
7)Eternal Traveler, at Alpine Beavers.
8)Golden hour at Upper Upper Free for All.
9)Pterospora (or Woodland Pinedrops), at Donner Lake.
10)Urs remembering his way up Nega Ninja at the Buttes.

So much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. Among the top of the list is sharing magical experiences with amazing friends. Yesterday, @lucapompanin and I were blessed with ascending this dazzling chunk of impeccable stone (from @carlodenali ) on the most improbable of days. @junethebrindle may have been the good luck charm we needed, on her very first outing nonetheless. #iceplatoon
I hope everyone is able to celebrate with friends and family on this day, despite its very divisive and dichotomous genocidal history. #hindsightis2020

I'm feeling elated to have ticked off this plum from @jwebxl on the White Lines bloc. A testpiece that demands a blend of finesse, heaps of hugs, and a dash of wizardry; 'twas an all around rootin' tootin' good time solving the puzzle. Feeling eternally grateful for many things lately; reconnecting with old friends, giggling and galavanting in the woods, snack cornucopias, and a constant supply of fresh blocs and mountains to explore have left my cup heaping with buena onda. Iām very thankful for the crew of friends that rallied out to the Phantom Spires to check out this king line from @kyle_omeara ; sometimes it takes a villageā¦cheers to many more escapades to follow. š ššš„ #bouldering #climbing

Still buzzinā from a delightful weekend at the Sierra Buttes! Ian and I han-soloed the East Ridge of Galatea, then joined a group of friends for a quick bouldering sesh afterwards. The idea has been brewing in my mind for years now, so it felt superb to see the vision (far-fetched pipe dream) finally come to fruition. Perhaps a longer ridge enchainment to the fire tower will be in order next season, alas Iāll let it stew for now. #31flavors #thickerthanasnicker #frickfrack #yourfeetcantcutifyoudontusethem
