Pretty hard to believe that 9 summers have gone by since my buddy Erik and I were up here. It’s also cool reflecting back on how life changing that trip was. Especially sharing it with Erik, who had spent heaps of time in the High Sierra with his dad growing up. Nice to finally make it back and spend the day up here in a slightly different style and in reverse from how we originally did it. Kim Stanley Robinson said it best: “there are people who go up to California’s Sierra Nevada, fall in love with the place, and then live the rest of their lives in ways that will get them back up there as often as possible.” Thanks, Erik! #AnimusBenignitas
