Enclosed at the western end of the Sierra, Shuteye Ridge, is an earthly Eden. A permanently happy place where one shape shifts to an eagle to soar up and down endless granite walls.
The “Great Basin” region, characterized by its basin and range mountains and Sierra Nevada, rain-shadowed, desert. Few and far between are drainage lakes which actually have no outlet to the ocean. Here’s a birds eye view of all its glory from a recent trip.
