This weekend I headed up to Waterville Valley for the World Cup freestyle skiing event and to spend time with my friend Tim Smith, who I went to college with and is now the GM of the mountain.
I grew up skiing and have photographed it on and off for years. After moving to New York, it slowly faded as my career shifted. Lately I have been revisiting things that shaped me early on and looking at them through the lens of where my photography is now. Coming back to skiing feels different this time. More about story, less about chasing single moments.
These are just a few highlights from the event. I will be sharing a larger story and PDF soon. Many of these athletes are headed to the Olympics, and it was special to witness this part of their journey.

A few weeks ago, a crew of arborists was cutting down a tree near a power line. I grabbed my camera and captured tight shots of them climbing and working through the branches.
What started as a simple home project turned into an inspiring moment, showing real skill, focus, and pride in physical work.

Spent the day in Dallas with @paigebueckers inside a Madison Reed hair color bar and it turned into such a fun and creative session. Paige brought a calm steady confidence that made every moment feel natural. We kept things simple and let her energy shape the frames.
