Back in high school when I was lost in life trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I used to go on strolls chasing sunset that provided the serenity I needed in life. I first got started on photography using the only accessible lens I had at the time, my phone, to capture what I was seeing. One day it clicked to me that I wanted to pursue photography. Life somehow provided me the guidance and purpose I needed to fulfill in life. I worked tirelessly pushing carts at the grocery store and was able to save up for the entry level DSLR that I really wanted. As my passion grew over the year, my sister took a trip to Korea to visit our family/gramps. She was given my grandpa’s expensive lens back home for her to use. Because of the greed, I begged and begged and was given such wonderful lens by my selfless sister, which got me officially started on photography. I took it everywhere, shot everything, joined yearbook as a school photographer, and was able to get into the dream college arts program I wanted. Thanks to grandpa.
After around a decade, in 2023, I was finally able to visit Korea as an adult. I wanted to show him so many photographs and projects I was proud of and how far I’ve taken my passion into my adulthood. Due to his health conditions he was not able to truly see what I wanted to show him. Despite the deteriorating condition he was in, I obviously did what life had assigned me to do, photograph him. What a joy it was to be raised for much of my childhood by such a charismatic figure, who gave me unconditional love and memories I’ll cherish forever.

This is what evolution looks like, hands down the most seductive space we’ve ever worked with at @pinkyswearnyc Expect a carefully curated crowd of NYC’s finest singles, OPEN PRESENT on the turntables, spinning a soulful mixed-media house set, and live flute melodies from NTHNL that’ll get under your skin.
Blending experimental electronic production with live instrumentation, we are partnering with a master FLUTIST. NTHNL layers live flute melodies through house records, creating music that moves through the room and wraps around you. His sound is immersive and emotional, guided less by genre and more by tension, release, and atmosphere.
As the music unfolds, so does the space. The night moves through multiple atmospheres: a sultry lounge, rotating gallery, candlelit dining room, and a secluded courtyard. A mirrored phone booth for intimate moments, a photo booth for everything that follows.
