IKAROS ESCAPE is an Uyghur artist based in Brooklyn, New York. As someone from a diaspora with a culture that is actively being erased by oppressive forces, he found freedom through sound. Soulful house for its message of love and liberation. Jungle for the way it tears apart tradition and rebuilds it into something new. That same drive carries beyond the booth. Freedom isn't just what he plays. It's what he fights for. He is also the founder of the @open.present nights in New York.
