Feels so good to see @jacopolarcher reveal that diamond on his chest. š®āšØ
From big wall free climbing to months-long alpine expeditions, Jacopo is one of the best all-around climbers out there. Heās no stranger to our gear, but weāre stoked to finally add BD apparel to his repertoire and tap into every facet of his many years of experience climbing at the highest levels in all disciplines.
This soft-spoken Italian will be a serious asset to BDās climbing equipment and apparel moving forward.
Head to the link in our bio to watch Jacopo Larcher take down the James Pearson trad test piece route in Annot, France Bon Voyage (9a/5.14d)

Hello (again) @blackdiamond š!
I couldnāt be more stoked to now represent the brand on the apparel side as well!
It almost feels weird to call it a new beginning, as Iāve been using their gear and Iāve already had the chance to share so many amazing moments and trips with the BD fam over the past decade, but it definitely marks a new chapter, Iām incredibly excited about!
For me, Black Diamond is not just about great products, but about the people behind them.
Passionate, genuine, deeply connected and committed to what they do and the communities theyāre part of. It really feels like home.
Itās simply a community of people and brand, Iām proud to be part of and happy to represent.
Iām really looking forward to whatās aheadāhopefully full of fun times together, meaningful projects, and the chance to create amazing new products together.
Letās go!

Another bad quality photo dump of another quality trip down south š
After a small 5 days climbing break for training šŖ over the lake⦠I spent the last two days climbing around Arco with Babsi and a lot of friends. Motivation was high after the days off, plus it was great to check out a new crag and sample some quality lines!
Super psyched to finish off the trip with an on-sight of āJanjaā āļø. Probably not the hardest 8c, but a really cool one!
What a cool week! Time to go back to setting now.

Bad quality photo dump of two short quality trips to Arco!
It felt great to escape the bad weather at home, enjoy some good coffee āļø and sample some rock after the winter training.
Pretty happy to sneak two relatively quick ascents of āTre mou polaccheā and āMascella serrataā: two of the latest 9a additions from the master @gabrimoroni . Completely different styles, but both 5 stars line!
Psyched for some trips down south before the RƤtikon season starts!

So many things have changed over the last 15 years, but @thenorthface has always been by my side throughout this journey.
When I look back, I donāt think my younger self could have ever imagined living so many adventures, both on and off the wall, or that my climbing would take this direction. It feels so far from what I used to do as a teenage climber.
When I joined the TNF team, I had just quit competition climbing and was traveling, trying to understand which direction I wanted to take in my (climbing) life. Thanks to many unforgettable trips and incredible people, my focus quickly shifted toward trad and big wall climbing ā experiences that reshaped my passion and motivation for the sport, leading me to everything Iāve been lucky enough to live over the years.
A huge part of those unforgettable moments and adventures was only possible thanks to the constant support of TNF and my amazing teammates. Iāll always be grateful for the time spent together, the trips, and the memories that have shaped who I am today.
But all good things eventually come to an end, and Iāve decided itās time for a new path.
Thank you so much for all these years, TNF š¤

Quick trip down south to escape the snow, sample some limestone in the sun and drink some good coffee!
It felt good to go cragging again after a few months spent climbing mostly indoors, sample some classics and check out some harder stuff.
But the highlight was definitely to see @babsizangerl being able to try hard again after her injury!š
Good times!

Jacopo Larcher ā Big Walls, Big Trust
Jacopo Larcher is a true all-rounder, moving effortlessly between trad, big walls, and hard free climbing.
In this episode of The Skwama Diaries, Jacopo talks about climbing Magic Mushroom, the iconic 8b+ multipitch big wall in Yosemite National Park, and how he used the La Sportiva Skwama on a route where precision, comfort, and trust have to last for pitch after pitch.
Climbed alongside his partner Babsi Zangerl, Magic Mushroom is steep, physical, and committing ā the kind of climb where every detail matters, long after the first crux.
Big walls. Long days. Real decisions.
The Skwama Diaries
As most of the years, also these winter months have been devoted to some more structured training.
After a busy year, it feels good to be at home, focusing on getting a solid fitness base for the upcoming projects in between some work. Psyched for the spring season and touch some rock again š!

Back home after a few busy months on the road⦠and back to āwinterā! š
The first little skitour of the season was also the perfect way for testing the new @corosglobal #Apex4, a nice surprise that I found when I got back.
I think I found my new training partner for the upcoming months š
āBon Voyageā (E12) is among the hardest trad routes in the world. End of November, @jacopolarcher repeated this notoriously difficult climb.
āEverything aligned and I slipped into one of those rare flow states where everything feels almost effortless. Finishing a project with a big fight is great, but itās also nice to finish such a long and challenging process in this way. In the end itās just a piece of rock, but Iām grateful for what this route taught me... itās always worth sticking with a goal, no matter how much you struggle. It reminded me of the importance of sharing the process with others, reconnected me with a country where Iāve spent a lot of good times andāespecially on this last tripāreconnected me with my climbing.ā - Jacopo.
