We are thrilled to welcome Jack J to High Road Touring! @jackj_____ Jack J is Jack Jutson, an Australian-born, Vancouver-based producer, songwriter, and performer known for creating emotionally driven, genre-agnostic alternative pop music. Alongside a series of EP and LP releases, Jack has been a central figure in Vancouver’s underground music community, including co-founding the influential Mood Hut collective and record label, and hosting a monthly show on NTS Radio since 2019. Jack is currently in the studio writing and recording new work, with more tour dates to follow soon, bringing his full live band ensemble on the road.

Welcoming @jackj_____ to ROAM! Jack J is Jack Jutson: an Australian-born, Vancouver-based producer, songwriter and performer. He co-founded Mood Hut, the influential underground record label and studio, and is one half of the long-running duo Pender Street Steppers. After a series of cassettes and 12” releases that shaped a wave of dance music from Vancouver, Jack released his debut solo LP Opening the Door in 2022, followed by Blue Desert in 2024. Jack’s songwriting is intuitive and spacious, focused on atmosphere, tone, and restraint. There’s a sense of warmth and clarity that threads through all of his wo whether in the studio or on stage. His live shows, performed with a full band, reframe his recorded work with a looser, more physical energy. Jack has toured extensively throughout Europe and the US, including a recent run of live dates supporting Jessica Pratt. He also continues to perform as Pender Street Steppers, and has hosted a monthly NTS radio show since 2019. EU

On October 10th IMU will reveal The Ultra Hidden (Cryptic) Doctrine on compact disc 💿 and streaming audio IMU is a project formed by Linda Fox & Jack J in the dying days of 2023. On the one hand IMU began as a musical initiative tasked with composing a live soundtrack for the second annual P.L.U.R.O.M.A. multimedia fashion extravaganza, but then on the other hand it also served as a way to reveal The Ultra Hidden (Cryptic) Doctrine. Some songs were written by Linda Fox with contributions from Jack J, some were written by Jack J with contributions from Linda Fox. Some were written together and some weren’t written at all. While JJ+LF insist that they aren’t the authors of The Ultra Hidden (Cryptic) Doctrine, they do admit that they will be responsible for its October 10th 2025 revelation and they will also concede that you can pre-save the EP on your preferred streaming platform now (link in bio). Others have also contributed significantly to this recent formulation: simu-mystic RAMZi @phubhouti has offered an important piece of remixed exegesis, and the benevolent ancients of @ddwy__ have put forth an inverted interpretation of the Doctrine’s central dogma. Not to mention @m___mela___ endowment of both celestial incantations and artfully placed dog bark samples. As a collection of “songs” The Ultra Hidden (Cryptic) Doctrine is pretty dope, but as a total story of how the great cosmic cycles came into “being” it’s an industry leader.  Tracklist: Brainwashed Meant to Be Eternity (Breezing By) [feat.
