After years of development, and over a year from the first pre-production call to the final export, I’m incredibly proud to present “Risk of Injury”.
A film I wrote during one of the darkest periods of my life, about hatred, revenge, spite, manipulation, and the complicated ways people try to reclaim control when they feel powerless. Right now, it feels more relevant than ever.

After graduating from film school in 2018, I jumped straight into commercial production because I thought it was the smart thing to do (it was). I’ve always been passionate about filmmaking, no matter the medium or the cause, but narrative storytelling is where my heart has always been. It’s the reason I wanted to do this in the first place.
Since becoming a freelancer, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some amazing short films (and even a feature) led by incredibly talented filmmakers, but a part of me always felt like I was missing out on the fun. Early last year at a film festival, a few motivating words hit me harder than I expected. I realized that if I didn’t make the thing I had been thinking about now, I probably never would.
And holy shit, it was a ride from beginning to end, but it was the best risk I’ve ever taken in my career. Countless hours of development and planning still didn’t prepare me for what was ahead, but we got there. And I truly believe we created something bigger and better than I ever imagined, all because of the incredible cast and crew who showed up and made it happen.

Final set of stills I graded for @jblaudio x @sxsw for their BandBox series. I know I’ve been posting a lot about JBL lately, and I swear I am NOT sponsored, but when the product is this portable, durable, and packed with features like powerful sound, deep bass, and crystal-clear detail that lets every note cut through, it’s hard not to want to share it with the world.
What makes this one especially cool is the AI-powered instrument isolation, letting you pull apart the mix and bring vocals, drums, bass, and melodies pleasehelpme into sharper focus for a completely different listening experience. From backyard parties to late-night sessions, it’s one of those concepts that actually makes you think about music a little differently.

A lot of people have been staying inside recently. The flu season seems to be hitting everyone pretty hard. Speaking of staying inside, you can go outside and then back inside the Regal Union Square in NYC to see “Stay In”, a film about staying inside, along with a bunch of other shorts that have nothing to do with getting the flu.
